OK, ordered all the parts for my new rig earlier today. I am left with getting a monitor. I currently have a CRT that is about to get shot repeatedly and then tossed out window. I need to get a new monitor ordered tonight/tomorrow. I want it to be an LCD. Currently thinking Dell's 2709w is...
Greetings!
After 5.5 years I have been given the offical go ahead by the wifey to build a new PC. Problem is I cant decide what memory to go with! The motherboard I will be getting is GIGABYTE GA-MA790FXT-UD5P. I have ALWAYS bought Corsair memory in the past and have had outstanding...
We currently have a user base of about 600. We dont currently limit the size and have well over 50+ users with mailboxes over 2 gig. Most of them are lawyers and executives so its really hard to tell them to fuck off plus no one willing to be the one who implements a size restriction for fear...
Just curious what you guys limit your mailbox sizes to on your exchange servers. I have to come up with a happy medium here at work and it has proven more difficult than expected. Everyone just wants to be special and use exchange as their personal file server, its driving me nuts!!!
I recently started having trouble with xp keeping file associations. What I mean is I will open up a .mpeg file and windows will ask me what program I want to open it with, I choose windows media player and click always open this file with this program option. Every time I open another file...
Technical questions related to windows systems engineering (NOT AD)? I'm trying to come up with some good ones for this afternoon. I already quite a few but I have been using these forever and am trying to get some new stuff.
Make em as hard or as easy as you like!
Thanks! ;) :D
Running FreeBSD 6.1 and Apache 2.2.2 (installed from ports). Now, I just got done installing gallery2 from ports and when I browse to http://mywebsite.com/gallery2 I get an Index page of files and directories instead of the website.
When I try to click on the index.php link in that index...
Doh!!! :eek: :eek: :eek:
Checking the script in /usr/local/etc/rc.d I should be using apache22_enable to start on boot. Thanks for the reminder! You guys, as always, rock! :D
OK Here are some specifics. This is Freebsd 6.1, Apache 2.2.2 with nothing special configured, just a default make install clean from ports. I have done this in the past with no troubles so I dont see why this shouldnt work. I haven't configured any other variables in rc.conf (Just...
So I am trying to get apache to start on boot and it is just plain not working.
added the following to /etc/rc.conf
apache_enable="YES"
apache2_enable="YES"
The last line was for good measure I guess. Anyways, I init 6 the server and apache is still not starting on boot. I keep...
How has this been for you? I have been out of the loop on Fedora since 5 came out and curious how you all like it.
I am downloading the iso's now soooooo I need some entertainment! :p
Thanks all! There are some really good ideas I can take away from this. I know this is kind of an invovled question and I appreciate you all taking the time.
I'm curious to know how some of you have set up your AD OU structures. I am going to begin a project soon that requires me to do this and havent really stayed in touch with the latest and greatest design ideas (Silly me).
Curious about OU layout and how you delegated control to the lower...
Here is the answer that I found, works ok.
Just installed Apache2.2.0 on my FreeBSD 6.0 box. When trying to start apache, I got this warning:
# /usr/local/apache2/bin/apachectl start
[Mon Jan 16 16:44:51 2006] [warn] (2)No such file or directory: Failed to enable the 'httpready' Accept...
"apachectl start" yields the following...
[warn] (2)No such file or directory: Failed to enable the 'httpready" Accept Filter
Logs dont help and neither is google. Website is up and active though and apache refuses to start automagically when the server is init 6'd.
Freebsd 6.0...
This is coming from your almost 2x over CCIE. While you may be able to make your PIX think it is a router you will not be happy with the functionality and the setup will take much longer than you ever would want it to.
Yes, do it in-house. Having someone else do your IDS is kinda like having someone else watch your kids. Sure you may think they are doing a good job but can you really trust them with something that important?
IDS is not hard to do if you know what you are doing. If you dont know what...
