bingo. "True HD" is marketing, unless you are referring to Dolby audio. I think the ASTC standard states that HDTV only requires support up to 30Hz

Actually no, if you have compatible PC hardware off the mac shortlist, you can actually use the vanilla kernel (i.e. certain C2D, mobos with EFI support etc) Still technically against the EULA to install it on a non serial-ed mac box, though.

While Microsoft may make Mac compatible software, it would be awfully strange for them to support the parent company of their main competition software (OSX) by using their hardware. Kind of like the CEO of toyota putting a LS3 in his camry.
