GTA IV PC Benchmarks

Because I do 3ds Max and other professional 3d editing? Just because the system is overclocked and using parts that your familiar with gaming doesn't mean I'm using it as a gaming machine. The CPU being oc'ed gets the job done faster. I can run games if I wanted, just don't "anymore" Easily a huge distraction while doing work. Thats why I have my other mains machine as a all-rounder if I'm not hwing. :D

BUMP: Its also my dads comp as well :D

I love my new quad-core :) GTA IV feels like a whole new game, so smooth... hmm

^^^ So why build a oc gaming rig for pc work and not play pc games on it???

that's what I was thinking too, damn you guys tweak a lot of settings. I'm so busy I just pop the game into my xbox and play, don't have time to be playing around with drawn and view distance and whatnot.

And you do realise, any game for PC has better graphics and tweakability then any consoles on the market.

It's not like you have to change your settings every time you play the game.

Once you have found settings ideal for your machine, it is just pop in and play.

Your comment really is console fan boy flamebait.

QFT... don't even have to play around with settings more than a minute max to just set them to console levels if you're that concerned about spending 5 minutes on buying a new game to tweak it to work well and look better, for the lifetime of the game. Just blatant flamebait...

What settings equal console settings guys?
I just wonder if anyone has done a side to side comparison or if anyone really knows what pc settings equal console settings.

I played this game on the 360 and it looked hmmm.It was ok but not what I thought it would be visually.I am sure it is alot better on pc hence me getting it soon on pc.I would like to set it at console settings first then set them higher and look at the game the way it was meant to be played (LOL)

At some point when the PC version was released Rockstar had stated what settings were comparable to the consoles. I haven't seen that since the second patch.

I am guessing it is medium settings
Among other things, Shadow Density is turned all the way down to 0 (completely off) on the 360. The overall quality settings on the console version are very low, not even close to what anyone would consider "medium".

I did not mean GTA4 I mean most games in general are like default or medium pc settings.GTA4 looked like crap on the 360 I hope it looks alot better on the pc
