It sounds like maybe the drive lost its letter that would make it visible. Use the disk management console under Administrative Tools to see if the drive will show up and have a letter assign to it.

Still have dual-link DVI but can you use monitor arms with this?

Since I wear glasses I decided that passive 3D monitors is not for me. I wonder why manufactures have a hard time with QC and keep the edges the same without light bleed.

3D requires HDMI 1.4 or higher. My old graphics card can only do 1.3 on HDMI but can support 3D on dual DVI

It sounds like the issue is within the monitor power not a computer connection issue. Do you have Eco Motion Sensor turn on?

Does the blue power light on monitor goes out when this happens? Did you check the power connections used on the power brick make sure it is tight? Do you have sleep for monitor turn on in the OS?
