Yes. That PSU will much better suit your needs for an A64 system. IMO the 380 or the 400 is just getting by for an A64 system.

Ignore the n00bie under my name. They may be enough but when you are running a PSU at it's max all the time, they run hot, and have shorter life. A 500W+ PSU may be overkill, but it will also last longer and deliver more stable power. (rails have high current ratings, voltages stay up better...

It's better IMO to use a separate PSU for the hard drives instead of having the system PSU handle all that load. When I use to use SCSI, I used an old AT PSU to run the drives and had no problems.

I'd go much bigger than a 400W. http://www.directron.com/sf550stainless.html 550W PSU with a 50A 5V rail and a 30A 12V rail, can't go wrong. I have an older quad-fan 520W version of this PSU, but ths 550W one is nicer because the bigger fan is quieter

1. Your PSU might not be very strong 2. When connecting high power components, connect them on their own wire. (don't connect a bunch of stuff to the molex connectors all on the same set of wires with a high power device) I hope you get your system back up and running soon. :(

It should be no problem. Server 2003 can do everything XP can, and more.

But the difference between the two isn't like comparing ATA 100 to ATA 133. PCI Express is MUCH faster, and eventually we may need that bandwidth for out video cards.
