make sure you take off vsync, that input lag thing, watch addons there are a killer for fps. if using quest helper tone down the workload to 20%

mine has coil whine only when running the ati tool stability test, and loading a valve game, seeing the intro with the heaqd with the valve in it, with fraps on i get like 1500 frames, soon as i hit spacebar, whine is gone.
