I checked my board & it has a clear sticker with a 4 on it in between the cpu & the ram... So 45nm chips will work? Just the earlier releases (e8400) or newer ones (e5200)?
I would have gladly made the transaction if you had posted a pic to begin with & therefore we wouldn't be having this conversation...You went way overboard because I asked for a pic?!...whew! Man, that's a tough one... You were the one that started this down the wrong road, not I.
I will...
The wheel shops will do it. I know here in Knoxville a local wheel shop will do the powder coating for roughly $20-$30 max.
I've been threatening to do my old bare aluminum Wavemaster for quite some time..I just haven't got around to it.
Hmmm...
No, I didn't make an offer, was ok with full price..I just wanted to see a pic of it...this is what I got in return:
I have no idea who would send you $150 for something they can't see...With that kind of ridiculous response, it won't be me!
The Frys walk in deals are great but only apply to those with a store neaby...so that rules out any state other than Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, California & Texas....http://shop1.frys.com/ac/storelocator/index.jsp
Ordered a e5200 from newegg, will be here Wed. Can't wait to plant it into my Abit-P35 Pro! I should have a few numbers together to post up this weekend sometime...4ghz here I come! lol
Anyone know what the highest "safe" voltage is for these Wolfdale chips? I have seen people push them into...
Looks like it is to be $93 & over $8 shipping...?!? This e5200 was supposed to be under $90 & Newegg usually has free shipping on their desktop processors...
What gives?
I didn't get huge differences in 3DMark but where I could tell the difference was real world gaming. The two 8800GTS' serve me well & I am sure two 8800gt's will be great in your rig.
As far as the "8X" sli on this board, you will never know it is 8x in Sli mode...
Check this out for...
I'm with you about the Q8200... $200+ for that chip is not what I would have expected, especially since it has less cache than the Q6600...I could be wrong but the pricing on this chip just doesn't make much sense to me.
I have felt like this for quite a while now...AMD needs to knock the bottom out of their pricing. 9950 should be $135. If it was $135 I would possibly think about coming back over to the AMD side but at $235 I will be happy to stay with my e2200 @ 3ghz...More performance at a fraction of the cost...
It looks like the PC equivalent of an Abrams Tank!! I have always liked Cooler Master cases & I am sure that the build quality will be very good on this case.
