Has anyone attempted this with any success? Using DD WRT and the wiki I've been trying the latest DD WRT VPN firmware and this http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/VPNC as you can see however, the documentation is .. limited? I'm not sure but so far I've been unable to get it to work.
I have never heard of any connection between v-sync and a severe drop in FPS. My understanding is the ONLY thing v-sync does it make sure that you get frames only on a screen refresh and not in between screen refreshes... Strange issue indeed.
is it actually a drop in FPS you're seeing or is it tearing that you're seeing. Sorry if that's an elementary question for you but I'm not aware of your technical saviness. A lot people will mistake tearing for low FPS and tearing is actually pretty normal in a lot games if you have a weird...
I'm confused as to why you would want it to fit your screen vertically.. You'd end up with some butt-ugly images since you're not fitting 1 pixel to 1 pixel. You end up fitting 1 pixel into like 1.44444 pixels which means pixel #1 is put in box 1, pixel #2 is put in box 2 AND 3.. yeah, that...
I agree with the sentiment that running the lower res on one of those higher res monitors is a bad idea. Things might get bigger but that will probably not translate into "more seeable" (is seeable a word?). No, you will want to keep your resolution high (at native) and use windows various...

How does this card stack up? Are there any "obvious" better value items or is this card pretty solid? Mostly we play WoW together (my system handles it just fine). I just wanted to get a bit more of the eye candy to play well on...
Holy crap I haven't seen one of those cards in years... Think I sold mine on eBay about 5 years ago for 50 bucks. Sorry to hear that it died. That's vintage man. Can't help you on your question though. Good luck.
Not even close. That link will provide you zero help getting BF2 to play widescreen. You can stretch that 4:3 image all day long if you please, that doesn't make it widescreen, that makes it a very ugly 4:3. Without hacking you will not get BF2 to play 16:9 or 16:10. You will only get it to play...
I think everyone is forgetting to remind you that BF2 can't be played at any widescreen resolution (unless you're a hacker). So you're looking for a card that can do regular 4/3 resolutions like 1600x1200 (on a 24" for example) which I think that card will do just fine. You won't have the...
