The thing that breaks, at least in my experience, is the 6-pin DIN plug. Mine broke off, actually broke off while still attached, was a pain in the ass to get off but I eventually got it out. When this happens, you have 2 options. 1) Get a new DIN plug (its the same plug used on keyboards, so...
I bought this game at the end of November when it was on sale. I played around with the training, just to make sure I don't completely suck. Well, I completely suck, but it was fun. I played for about and hour and now I can't play.
So this is what everyone is complaining about.
Among others, here's my gripe with UPlay.
Both UPlay and Steam are simply launched and running in the background. Steam at 39k of memory, UPlay at 210k. Not that it's meaningfully high, but it's, IMO, a bad Steam knock-off.
I wish FarCry ran through Steam and I didn't have to launch UPlay to...
Is this the Angry Birds game that I got free from Starbucks on my iPhone? Is there anything more dramatic about it? More levels might be cool, but unless it has 15^nth levels, I cannot understand this.
I just built the computer in my signature with a bunch of "pre-Black Friday" deals (mainly Amazon and Newegg).
On or about last Friday i got Far Cry 3, Bioshock Inifinite, L4D2, and Battlefield 4. I had just gotten a humble bundle which inludes all the FEAR games, some Mortal Kombat, Lord of...

What, if anything, will be lost in doing a Repair Install? I have seen the option for it before when reinstalling Windows but I have never tried it...
Bump for the Monday lunchtime crew. I have no idea what happened to his box, but I am not even sure how to go about repairing windows on his computer.
Any and all help is welcome.
My uncle did something to his computer. Has no idea what he did and is pretty much completely computer illiterate.
The problem is that when he loads a photo disk into his computer. When windows pops up that list of "What do you want to do with this" there are no choices. Every other type of...
That is not entirely true. Dell will give me a Windows Restore disk, and a Dell Drivers & Utilities disk. You put Windows on then selectively choose what you want off the Dell disk (if anything).
Don't come into this subforum much but now that I got my father a notebook (Dell E1505) I believe I will be fixing many things.
Anyway, this computer uses the built-in wireless card, so the network card for a hardline will go unused. There will be a day when it actually is used but that is...
