Hello,
I am having an issue where I am not able to set my monitor's native resolution. I have searched everywhere for a solution but couldn't find one, so I have resorted to writing a forum post to see if someone knows a solution or could help me diagnose the problem. Sorry if the post is a bit...
I actually use the global getline function from the string class, I just forgot to add the #include <string> line to the code sample (I'll add it now).
Someone found a link with similar info for me (http://www.mathbits.com/MathBits/CompSci/APstrings/APgetline.htm). Apparently cin leaves...
I get an infinite loop from the following code, after entering the string s. Why doesn't it stop at the cin prompt during the next iteration and how can I fix this?
#include <iostream>
#include <string>
using namespace std;
int main()
{
int num;
string s;
do
{
cout << "enter num "...
Yes it is.
CPU is at 3.75 V (stock is 3.25 V, I couldn't get to 2.4 GHz with that)
Memory voltage is probably at stock, in BIOS DDR2 Overvoltage is set to "Normal"
Timings are set to "Auto", they show as 5-5-5-15 in CPU-Z (stock)
Probably, because you'd be increasing your total clock speed from 3200 to 3600. I suggest raising the total speed in much smaller increments (raise the FSB, not the multiplier), to see if your CPU can even handle that.
I'm overclocking my E6400 + DS3 system and it refuses to boot with the same overclocked settings some times but not others. For example, if I achieve 2.4 GHz at 300 x 8 it will boot, but if I use 400 x 6, it won't (note that RAM frequency is always at stock or less). Often times it will refuse...
When I booted up my system for the first time I heard clicking noises. I looked inside the case and noticed the CPU fan wasn't spinning. I promptly turned off the computer and turned it on again soon after to have a closer look. This time I didn't hear any out of place noises, but I observed...
It's an Antec, anyway I already ordered everything. The differences to the list in the first post are:
Antec Neo 550W instead of SP 400W: http://www.frys.com/product/4653878
Seagate 320GB SATA instead of WD 32GB SATA: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822148140
Thanks for...
I plan to order the stuff below within the next couple of days, but I need all the advice I can get as I have been out of the loop for a while.

Does a blank line have a null terminator? If so, the for loop wouldn't be entered in that case, and the convertText function would wrongly be called. The other case is if the line starts with a colon.
Don't you mean "032BPresident Reagan"? If it doesn't start with 032B, it breaks out of the...
Yes, using a regular array fixed it. It's strange that it worked with lines that were under a certain character length though. Does anyone have an explanation for this?
I did think that there were probably some more practical ways of doing it, but we haven't learned the string class so I...
The getline function kills the program if the current line is longer than 33 characters.
#include <iostream>
#include <fstream>
using namespace std;
int main()
{
char* tempstr;
int spaceindex;
fstream file_op("c:\\somefile.txt",ios::in)...
This may be a stretch but.. try changing the Audio Hardware setting in Options to something else. I used to get servere slowdowns when I hit objects like poles and fences (and certain sounds were triggered), until I changed it to Miles Fast 2D Positional Audio.
Is there any way to ether create a two-dimensional array or an array of structs in LUA?
I want to store sets of values and then be able to assign each value in a particular set to a varaible. I've read that you can put tables inside of tables in LUA, is it possible to do it that way?
I hate those too, and I play GLA exclusively (though not stealth general). You can't build enough quads to defend against them, since a single bomb will take out several of them that are close by, and probably escape. Once they have enough planes, there's almost no way they can lose.
This happens with my optical mouse sometimes in all applications, probably because the surface is too dark. Does it happen only in San Andreas for you?
i can only relate to what they say about immediate reactions to video games.. ie throwing the game controller, punching your friend, etc. i guess i dont react violently when i see a violent movie or violence in the news because im not involved enough to empathize with it?
and i dont see how it...
