Hey guys,
Hoping you can help i'm ramming my head against a wall.
My sons computer that i built for him is not powering on at all. In other words i hit the power button nothing at all happens.
From what he tells me it was on one day and then off the next and it wouldn't do anything...
In order to take advantage of dual channel they have to be matching size per slot. Your not running dual channel right now. You will get double the memory bandwidth if you change to 2x2 or 4x2. (if im wrong someone can slap me ;))
Maybe im wrong?
I guess my first question would be are you really running 6gb of memory on that board? If so that means your not running it dual channel. Get another 2 gig stick of the same memory so all 4 memory slots are matching. If you have 3 of the 4 slots filled your not running dual channel. Should...
I would say your biggest boost would be a better GFX card. Not saying yours is horrible but that 128bit memory interface kills the performance especially in BF3.
Just remember the more powerful the graphics card is the better CPU you need to push info to it.
For instance with my 9550 clocked...
I'm not seeking help about the card....i was trying to get input on a new one.
I have some money to throw around so i don't mind buying a new one.
I guess what i'm asking is..... has anyone had issues with a gtx 570 using all ultra settings and 4xAA?
So continually having issues with BF3 and the black line/blocks syndrome! The patch did not fix it.
I currently have a GTX560Ti.
Do the 570's have this same issue??
I doubt u will see any bottleneck in gaming unless u went to sli or xfire. Once u turn all the eye candy up along with AA its mostly on the gpu at that point. Sounds like u just have an itch to upgrade.... Me too!
I know its a bit out if ur price range but there is nothing out there like it. U will have to make sure it'll fit in ur case.

Asking $150.00 cables and everything included.
Reason: I'm looking to upgrade my system.
I will not be able to ship this out for about 2 weeks (saving money for upgrade). I do not expect you to pay until i ship it.
I...

I had that problem with my orriginal 8800GTX. I did everything to try and fix it. I ended up sending it back to EVGA to get replaced. I bought a 8800GTS (G92) to replace while i waited........no errors with that. I received the new 8800GTX back and said hey i'm going to try it...
I have mine OC'd to 3.2ghz and the voltage at 1.344v reading from CPU_Z and Speedfan. It idles at 30 degrees. I have a case that allows good airflow though. Not sure what you have.
For any of those that have had this problem when turning up the textures and what not i have posted a link to a fix. I have done this fix my self and it works wonders. I have 4 gigs of memory though FYI...
Hey guys long time since i've been in the memory forums!!
I have been running a core 2 duo E6300 at 3.010ghz and my DDR2 Patriot PDC22G5300LLK 2x1gig sticks at 860 mhz 5-5-5-15 not problem.
I figured well i have Vista x64 so i should just be able to slap 2 more sticks in and be good (boy was i...
Well i would say you would be good to go with the GTS.
If you can wait, i would wait till the refresh which should be in a month or so. You may get a better deal/better (faster) card for the same money.
Ok cool thanks.
Also i'm running raid. I have a new 64 bit raid version for Vista from Gigabyte the one that you copy to a 3.5" floppy and install prior to the OS install. How will this work if you do a upgrade in place?
