    IP35 Pro - C1 Error (memory)

I just went through a similar mess with the C1 error as well. It turns out that for whatever reason my motherboard was killing my ram sticks. I had 2x1GB crucial sticks in my IP35 Pro that went dead after a couple of months. RMA'ed the ram and the same thing happened. I would get random C1...

    Vid Card Recomendation

Ok so my video card is taking a crap on me so I'm looking to upgrade. I currently have a 7950GT and it has been a great card. Now there are only a few things I'm looking for in upgrading. The main thing is that the new card must have an hdmi out. I also want a little upgrade in gaming...

    New build not booting...Help Troubleshoot

Ok problem solved. I took everything out of the case and set it on the mobo box with just the essentials and it fired up fine. So I pieced everything back together and finally found out that the front panel usb was not plugged into the pins correctly. I double checked the mobo manual and...

    New build not booting...Help Troubleshoot

Thanks for all the replys guys. 350w is plenty for this system, and it does have and is using the onboard video. I highly doubt it is the ram as i have had bad ram before and the system would turn on but not post. This system that I am building won't even power on. I will test the power...

need help ip35 setup with 6750

I can't see the pic since im at work but i have the exact setup to the T that you have. I currently have mine set at 3.7GHz rock stable so I'll tell you what i changed in the bios. In your uGuru bios settings change your multiplier to 8 and change your FSB to 460. Then go into your voltages...

    High RAM voltage

When i booted my ip35pro with my crucial ballistix for the first time i believe that the voltage was autoset at 1.8ish and the timings were 6-6-6-18. All you'll need to do is change it to what you want it. In general you can expect your mobo to just kind of guess what settings to use for your...

    1066MHz vs 800MHz

If you get ddr2-800MHz ram you MAY have to losen timings a little to get to where you want when you're overclocking. With ddr2-1066 you won't have to worry about that. I have 2GB of Crucial ddr2-1066 ram and when i had it running at 920, my timings were 4-4-3-9. However, now I'm at 1100MHz...

Need help with mobo that supports this ram

I'm using 2x1GB ddr2-1066 of Crucial ballistix in my IP35 Pro and it runs like a dream. This stuff is rated for 5-5-5-15 at 1066MHz, but i currently have it at 5-5-4-9 at 1100Mhz w/stock volts. Anyway, the IP35Pro is a very nice board and will definately support your ram. In general...

Ram suggestions for e6750 paired with an abit ip35 pro

Thats rated as the "standard" but don't look at it like that. I would look at it more as suggested ram for the guy who doesn't OC too much. Heck, I was messing with a memory divider when oc'ing and i was able to get the ram up to 1116MHz. Just remember if you are running 1:1 fsb to ram...

E6750, just pulled the trigger !

I think i'm satisfied. Im currently at 3680 stable. I had it at 3720 but I needed about 1.51ish volts and im trying to keep vcore under 1.5. Anyways, pics for your pleasure. and SuperPi 1M

Just curious why memory is so cheap now.

Well my old ddr ram still retails for $100 at newegg. Its odd that ddr2 prices have fallen off cliffs yet ddr remains almost unchanged. Either way i'm happy since i pretty much got to exchange my ddr ram for ddr2 thats over 2x as fast.

Ram suggestions for e6750 paired with an abit ip35 pro

I got the 2x1GB ddr2 1066 version from Mwave.com about a month ago for 135. It looks like the price has gone up to $145 since then. The link is below. Linky. I did a quick scan and these seem to be the cheapest 1066 modules you can get between Newegg, Mwave and zipzoomfly.

How well is your new E6X50 Overclocking...

Tsonka if i were you i would lower your cpu multi to 8 or even 7 and raise your fsb. If you raise your fsb to 425 and lower your multi to 8 then you will be at 3.4GHz and you will get better performance that way. Heck, I imagine you should be able to get 450x8=3600 as long as you have some...

Ram suggestions for e6750 paired with an abit ip35 pro

I have an e6750/ip35pro OC to 3.7GHz paired up with 2GB of Crucial Ballistix running 1:1 at 4-4-4-12 926MHz . Pretty decent if you ask me. You can always run them at a different divider of course.

I overclock similarly. First I pick the OC i want, which as of now is 3.7ish and then crank the volts up so i know it will be stable. Then lower/run orthos...if stable I repeat until instabillity occurs. Here is where i am at right now. Forgot to include vcore/temps As of now vcore is at...

OCing CPU >>> how much difference does it make in gaming?

Considering about 75fps is the max a human eye can detect without motion blur, i wouldn't see a difference:p . But i do see(no pun intended) your argument. There have been a lot of patches for games to enable multithreading but from I've read, the performance increase was minimal and none of...

I just built my first system with an ip35 pro and i love it. There are plenty of overclocking options and the board itself is layed out very well. I have only had the board for a day but I love it. I have gotten it up to 475x7 at stock volts so i know that there are only more good things to...

Need help finding the right Mobo

Any socket 775 board should do well if you set your goals low. You say you want minimal upgrages, then get a cheap/solid p965,945G,975 chipset board and call it a day. You will have to upgrade your ram as boards nowadays use DDR2/DDR3 and 2100 is DDR. From the sounds of it, you have a...

OCing CPU >>> how much difference does it make in gaming?

The only real difference you will see gaming will be in processor hungry games such as RTS games. Supreme Commander is an excellent example of this. I read an article awhile back discussing clockspeeds and number of cores as related to gaming. One of the games tested was Supreme Commander...

What kinda wall is this? All was going so so good with G0 Stepping....

The 2 bios settings that weigh heavily on how high fsb can go are your MCH/NB voltage and your CPUVTT. I would fiddle with these and see if that may be whats holding you back. I have an e6750 and these are just coming to life at 3.5.

I just built my first rig yesterday. I am currently using an e6750/Tuniq coupled with an IP35 Pro. Since i'm new to the whole overclocking thing i have been taking things slowly but i have yet to be disappointed with how well these new chips overclock and how cool they stay. I have gotten it...

ZALMAN --> tuniq that much better?

Yes you should see a good decrease in temps. If you have time, browse through anandtech.com's cooling section. They compare many cpu coolers together in various hardware configurations and the tuniq and ultra 120 extreme are always up in the top 3 it seems.
  32. R

    Memory choices

I would go with the first of your choices if you want just 2 sticks, otherwise i would go with the crucial. 4 sticks of ram definitely will put out some heat so you want to make sure you have good case ventilation and possibly look into a ram cooler.

    CPU and Northbridge cooler compatibility

My brother has an thermalright 120 extreme and an hr-05sli i believe? Which is just a massive passive cooler for nb/sb. He had that setup in his 680i with an 8800gts with no issues.

Hot northbridge on DS3 limiting my OC?

I kind of doubt the NB is limiting you at this point. 280fsb is not very stressful on your nb to say the least. Especially whey there are people running 450+.

    pc7200?

I've never really seen that ram before but now a days most ddr2 ram is cheap and gives a good bang for the buck. As long as you get ram that has a good latency such as 4-4-4 or 5-5-5 and is at least 800Mhz then you should be good. I just picked up 2GB of crucial ballistix at MWave for 135.00...
