Just something to keep in mind, the 7300GT you linked is cheaper because it has 64-bit memory. If you truly are not going to play games on it, that's perfectly fine. If you have even the slightest thought of running a 3D game, you really will want the 128-bit version of the 7300GT.

You'll be fine. Sounds like you're looking for an AGP solution, it may payoff more to get a PCI-E motherboard and video card, but it is your call. If you're going for a 6800GT it may be worth it, but the 7800GS's probably aren't very cost efficient still.
