I have 4 SG500 52p in a stack and used these cables.

I haven't had any problems with these switches so far and have had them 2012.
You might want to look into a Fortinet UTM type device. Depending on model, it will have built in Wifi Controller along with Web, Spam, Antivirus, IDS, and IPS filtering. It can also handle your VPN connections as well. The subscription isn't too high per year on those in my opinion.
Don't...
I have a p2p with them and the up time has been solid. It was a pain to get them to install the line. It took six months for that project. They are sending the bills to that remote office instead of our HQ which they still haven't corrected. So by the time the office gets the bill and sends it...
There is a good chance the cable could be nailed to the stud. Also, there could be drilled holes that barley fit the cable and would snag depending how you had the cat6 secured to the end.
I would run separate wire.
At my work, 150 users, I'm using a Fortigate 80CM along with multiple Fortinet AP's. It has a nice web interface so it's not too hard to figure out the setup. You can create multiple SSID's and have the public one only access the WAN interface. This will help with the secure part for the POS...
I've been using Veeam now for two years. I'm happy with it. I have always saved the backup file to local disk then when the backup finishes, it runs robocopy to copy the files to an external disk.
I've never used that lockout tool that you have, but Microsoft's tool has helped me out before along with Sysinternals Process Monitor. Run the process monitor for a bit on the users PC and then look for Access Denied entries. That will at least show you the app that is causing it. You can then...
We use it at home. I can set the alarm from my phone or check the video camera. We also got the key pad door lock. We can let people in the house if we are away. It does use cell service for these features. You can hook up zwave devices to it but I have not tried that yet.
My wife loves the...
Look into K9 Webfilter. It's free. The question will be, does he have admin rights to his PC?

This is what I use to filter sites. I mainly want to prevent my kids from misspelling something and end up seeing porn.
Good Luck.
The 3000i has 15 x 600GB SAS 15k drives in it. I was planning on staying with iSCSI for a bit. FC will be around another 15k and I'll look at it when we get closer to VDI.
The price and performance difference is what I'm trying to find out. I was quoted 1TB drives which I believe come in the 2.5 form factor. What I was quoted would give me roughly 1000 IOPS. So my thought is, if the 220 isn't much more, then I could save when I needed to add disks.
I have 20 VM's running on three ESXi hosts connected to a MD3000i. I'm wanting to replace the MD due to it being out of warranty. I'm hoping to get something that will perform better and give me growth along with snapshot functionality to lower my RPO. I'm also looking into the possibly of VDI...
Hey guys,
Does anyone here sell Compellent arrays? I've been working on a quote with a local company and had a few questions about the pricing and options. I'm hoping to talk to someone more as a friend instead of a salesman.
One question is they are pricing out a SC200 with 12 1TB SAS...
I would like to know how well they play 1080 and 720 MKV's. I have an apple TV 2 with xbmc and some MKV's are to choppy. I'm looking for a replacement.
I'm listing my EVGA 570 on ebay if anyone is looking for one. I put a buy it now for 180.00.
Thanks.

I've been using crashplan for close to two years. I have 550 GB uploaded to it. It took me about a 1 and half months to upload it on my connection.
I think the pricing is fair and you receive unlimited storage depending on the plan.
The software isn't bad and I don't notice it running...
Hey guys, Network beginner here.
Could you possibly point me in the right direction? I'm trying to configure a new Cisco SG500 52p to add to our network, but when I plug it up, it kicks off a switch in a different part of the building.
I have a Catalyst 3560-x as my core layer 3 device, I...

I was disapointed. I liked the service but I'm now looking into other options as well. I'm leaning towards Barracuda's cloud base solution.
I have not had one connectivity issue with Crashplan.
After I installed a new drive and OS I was able to easily re-sync my files from my raid with the backed up data. There was no need to re upload everything.
As far as what I'm backing up, my pics, home videos, music and documents.
I'm using Crashplan for my personal offsite backup. I have close to 450GB uploaded. The hard part was the initial back up. It took about a month and half for the first copy, but since then it has been smooth sailing.
I've recommended to friends and family.
Hey guys,
Anyone know much about the SG500 SMB line from Cisco? I'm not sure if they are even shipping yet, but I'm getting ready to buy some SG300's but wasn't sure if there was a big advantage going to the 500's.
I wouldn't worry about the extra break. In a business environment all runs go to a wall plate and the opposite end terminates into a patch panel.
There may be building codes in your area the require the walls to be sealed off. Something you would have to worry about if you moved.
Well I don't want to hear they slowed the entire network down. I was afraid that at their price point they were probably low grade switches.
Thanks for the input.
Anyone here using LG Networking gear? I've been quoted a couple ES-4526G and few ES-2024GP for a project I'm working on. I've been looking at Cisco and HP and these are a lot cheaper.
How are they to manage? Are they able to handle VOIP?
Thanks for any input.
