Left side of the circuit board has short circuited for some reason and now the light strip outside the case on the window side doesn't lite up no matter what I do.
Where can I get a new circuit board? I tried going to their site but they have no contact number.
trim don't work in raid.
Intel thought they solved it, but it failed and they took down the drivers off their site.
Better days are coming and they will get it together hopefully
interesting msahci works on marvell, does this fix all the reported marvell stability issues? bsod etc.>>
with the samsung you should be fine, if the disk was an older model than not
<<Although I have a marvell SATAIII controller I am not using it aware of the issues associated with it>>
those issues have been fixed at least with sandforce drives from kingston
Plug the ssd into the marvel port but dont use a marvel driver.
try it I think youl like the speed difference
I can't find a place or person who does window mods on these type of cases.
Been searching on google but cant find anyone.
Tried contacting mountain mods and they say their not in that buisness..LOL
Change your ******* name then :D
Anyway I need a window just like the one in this link by...
You have to enable it in bios otherwise it will never boot.
Don't install the marvell driver once in windows.
You will be on msahci ...run a bench and lets see what read write speeds you get then.
When on a marvel sata 3 port you can't change the msachi to IASTR unless you re-install the OS...
get rid of that mschi driver and get intel rapid storage. the mschi is 6 years old
and whatever you do DON'T install the marvel driver once you switch to the sata 3
Fahrenheit, The difference here is your getting better write speed on sata 2 intel, but worse Read on Seq
Slap that disk into the sata 3 port and bench again if you can
Why would he connect it to a sata II port if he has sata 3. Most ssds have better firmware today that can run on that marvel controller. There is no way sata 2 is better than sata 3 no matter what the controller is
This board has a mind of its own when it comes to memory.
Well, except for those cheap samsung 4 gig sticks they work in any board at sick speeds for $50 for 8 gig :)
If you want corsair I would buy these as they are confirmed to work on this board...
vega, are you running your memory at 1659 mhz only.
For example I read that the qpi link should be double of your memory speed unless this something old that I read up on.
I also read that using windows raid is a bad option as it stresses the cpu. hows your bench scores on the cpu with the...
Vega. your graph shows only a 119.24 GB where are the other 7 disks. I thought the win 7 stripe combines them to look like 1 disk like the graph above yours. I'm totally confused here. So if you want to download files or programs you have to specify which disk out of the 8 ssds you want it...
Ok, so now we need 10 disks instead of 8 I wish they would of explained this in that computex video as to how they achieved those scores.
Another Question I have is, are those 8 disks recognized as 1 large disk on the win stripe, so if you have 8 disks at 128g x8 = 1 terabyte drive or no?
So...
If I had to make that decision I would go with the samsung.
It just an overall better drive when it comes to reliability.
I doubt you will have to use their RMA or tech support unless you roll snake eyes
Vega, did you try to measure speed by doing 2 ssd's in raid 0 on the sata 3 intel ports and then 2 on Lsi individually? This way we can see for sure if it's a Lsi chip problem. I'm new to this raid stuff but trying to learn. I still didn't get my ssds yet, because I'm not sure if this is a...
Why use JBOD when they advertise Raid 0
Found this on JBOD at http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2010/high-availability-recovery/what-actually-is-jbod-how-might-used-exchange-2010.html
Disadvantages of JBOD
No hardware increase in drive performance
There is an...
Here they have a video of it hitting those speeds. http://hexus.net/tv/show/2012/06/ASRock_demos_X79_Extreme_11_motherboard
Something is very fishy here and I don't like it.
The board also appears to be E-ATX so it's a lil wider than ATX but holds the same height - that right there surprised me, which also causes the first PCI-E from the top to be uncomfortably close to the RAM slots... why not go atx-xl?>>>>>>>>>
At first they did advertise this board as Extra...
Vega, just got my board today and spend a half hour just staring at it and reading the manual that comes with it. I can't do any testing on mine as i don't have all the parts yet for my build.
This raid issue your having is making me nauseous and giving me asus striker MB flashbacks.
I hope...
Vega, so what will you do now switch to 8 M4s instead of the 8 vertex 4?
I haven't purchased my 8 ssds yet, but was leaning towards the vertex 4
How about 8 samsung ssd's? Which you think will be the fastest?
Got it stable finally at 1350 mhz and 400 mem.
Thanks to xoleras I kept playing with voltages on afterburner and found the memory voltages
and tweaked the gpu voltages a little lower. Now all benches are stable and BF3 for hours without any hiccups.
This is an ass kicking card. I feel bad for...
