uh... stock ui covers most things now...
that being said... any boss mod addon.
prob recount just to see how you're performing and flexing epeen if you're on top
if you're a paly, palypower makes organizing multiple paly blessings in a much easier fashion.
you have 3 roles:
tank, healer, dps
all roles bring something useful to the table
it's not about who has the best buffs but playing your role most effectively. i.e. healing fast, putting out good dps while playing smart, being a good tank (which means knowing when to pop cool downs, generate...
enough about our good/experiences and lets get BACK ON TOPIC
i'm looking forward to revisiting the old content and while many people complain about major changes, I always prefer change over no change
if you're asking if there will be a future game similar to wow's success then that is highly unlikely.
the only game i can see coming close to that would be blizzard's own next mmo.
if you're asking if there are alternative mmo's that play similar to wow. sure, you have a lot of choices...
i played wow for a few years and recently quit. here are a few things to keep in mind
- the majority of the meat is from end game
- you have to cooperate with a lot of people to get pretty good loot
- in my experience, when there's a lot of people involved there's bound to be conflict drama...
37in westy and still loving it
i've considered the dell 30in w/ the sweeter higher res, but until there are coupons for it... i'm not spending more money for a screen that is smaller even though it gives more res
gaming@1920x1080 is high enough res for me. i dont need the crazy...
DDL benefits in games.
how much does it benefit depend on the game. DDL sounds good in some games and horrible in others.
i just decided to not worry about it and got an X-Fi. my games all sound consistent and the extra cables to my receiver/decoder dont bother me
edit: my ears cant...
so with the release of the new 7950's, the question at hand is.....
is the performance boost from running the 7900 GTX in SLI worth the price increase over a single 7950GX2?
edit: so after reading some comparisons between the 7900GTX SLI and 7950GX2, it seems the 7900GTX SLI has a fairly...
ok lets make a quick conclusion:
Nvidia: marginally better performance in non shader intensive games
Ati: marginally better IQ options and IQ.
then here is the disclaimer:
Disclaimer! Marginal differences between the 2 cards vary from person to person. What is noticeable to one...
this is where Creative's marketing is a little bit mis-leading. The X-Fi Xtreme Music and whole X-Fi series doesn't really make an improvement with musical quality. Its more of a gamers soundcard. The X-Fi has better surround features, positional sound, and bigger omph for gamers.
For the...
there seems to be a misunderstanding with the advantages of using DDL and DTS encoding.
your only advantage with using DDL/DTS is...... having to run a single digital cable to your receiver and some would argue for gaming.
as many have stated, in terms of positional gaming, DDL/DTS...
after reading your sig...
if music is that important to you, just get a EMU soundcard. also, Altec Lansing MX5021 aren't exactly the best speakers for music.
the way i see it, seperate your music/gaming needs and just run 2 sounds cards.
i've been doing some reading around, and because of the scaling enemies according to your level, many said that you want to max out your stats ASAP, while keeping your level as low as possible.
how true is this? according to a couple of guides, it is possible to get a max of 100 in each stat...
great for music? oh really? if you are serious about your music, get a real soundcard. dont use the explosion of the x-fi. either that or use your onboard sound to run a digital output into a receiver. for movies, you can just use onboard sound and run a digital output to your receiver
there...
my $0.02:
the x-fi has some improved features over the a2zs. the software, more cmss modes etc.
the sound is better, but it really is hardly noticeable.
the conclusion is: for gaming, if you got the money, get the x-fi. otherwise, you are better off sticking with the a2zs
well when you the game at that kind of resolution, i believe it becomes entirely gpu dependant
on a side note, i'd wish they woulda programmed Oblivion on the source engine. I'm sure it wil look almost as good, but run a hell lot better
well i've ran Far Cry at 1920x1200 with all the in game settings turned up w/ no AA/AF, no HDR. it is impressively smooth. this was on a 6800gt btw.
well... at least i remembered it was smooth. its been awhile
damn... seems like this game sets the benchmark for video card performance
note: also a good question to ask yourself: is the game that demanding? or is it just that horribly coded? remember the game was developed for the 360 and pc at the same time.
if carmack was the lead programmer, could...
i'm sure quad sli will give acceptable frame rates, too bad nvidia has stated they wouldn't allow DIY'ers to build it
thought of spending money to do evga's step up program just to play Oblivion, dunno if its worth it.
:( , if the rumors of nvidia and ati not releasing faster cards until Windows Vista are true, does that mean i'm stuck w/ crappy frame rates? even if i do upgrade to the fastest cards possible?
as the thread title states, i'm wondering if anyone runs Oblivion at 1920x1200. if so, what frame rates are you getting? is it bringing your beast of a system to its knees?
Me: SLI 7800 GT
Resolution: 1920x1080 (not a true computer LCD)
Settings: everything turned up, no HDR, bloom on, full...
