Looks like AMD is rolling PCIe 4.0 support back from older Ryzen chipsets.

Nevermind, I fixed it.
Turns out the version of PHP I had was thread-safe, and I was trying to use the non-thread-safe PECL OCI8 library. So I replaced it with the thread-safe version, and it connects properly. It would have been awesome if there had been some error reporting from PHP/Apache on...
So I had a failure on an ancient Sun UltraSPARC server which was hosting an old PHP app. The server experienced some core software failure, and for various reasons, it is being abandoned.
But we still have this old, poorly coded internal PHP app that needs to be hosted. It has some specific...
I have one. I like it. Inside it is a Corsair HX850 PSU, two Corsair AF120 "Quiet Edition" fans in the top (in addition to the 120mm and 140mm fans that came preinstalled in it), a Gigabyte microATX Z87 board, an Intel Core i5 4670, an EVGA GTX 770 with their ACX cooler, and a 240GB Intel 520...
I remember when Zelda came out for the NES. A friend of mine had it, and I played it at his house. I didn't find it particularly interesting, and the gameplay was beyond lame to me. It seemed to me that you just go from frame to frame, solving the same problems and doing the same shit ad...
35.
I don't like console games, as you might guess, given my job here. I don't agree that Zelda is a fantastic game. It's a mindless romp full of endlessly repeated gaming moments.
So...space missions. Up until level 45, they weren't really challenging at all. Now I'm level 50, and have my ship upgraded with tier 5 kit (including EMP, torpedoes, and ECM), and I can't finish even a level 46 space mission. I've seen a lot of more advanced ship parts on the trade network, but...
With the sith marauder, I found myself approximately on-level until I reached Hoth, where the quests quickly "outgrew" me. With the republic trooper, I was constantly 2-3 levels below the quests and mobs around me. I did all side-quests, except for the bonus quests.
The petition's only real purpose could be to raise valve's awareness that people want info on the game, and I don't think valve is unaware.
When sales are expected to be in the millions, a petition with 20k names means absolutely nothing.
As for me...it's just a damn game. And right now...
Yar.
And here he is after his victory on Corellia:
I chose stan because I wanted a mundane name for the guy and Stan seemed to fit the bill. Then I chose Marsh, because...well...South Park. I'm going to try to find blue leggings, a brown chest piece, and a blue helmet for him eventually.
No doubt. I wasn't really all that concerned with the Trooper being light or dark rather than with making him something of a paragon of the republic. I always chose what I felt was the right thing for a soldier to be doing, and it happened that it was always the light side choice.
Nice. My Marauder is level 43, and has somewhere around 8300 dark points. There are a lot more opportunities for light/dark shifting in the force classes than in the non-force classes.
The last MoH game was the only game in recent memory that made me angry upon its completion. I believe I chucked the disc across the room after I finished the SP "campaign".
I finished the trooper story line last night. Pretty cool stuff. I was expecting to get some dark points for what I had to do, but I didn't, so my trooper remains "pure" with 6900 light and 0 dark.
Quite so. They were practically groveling at the sith lord's feet to get him to kill 10 wampas, whereas they copped a prettty obnoxious attitude for the bounty hunter.
What exactly is it that you are so butt-hurt about here?
Content development does not exist in a vacuum. Unless all you want to do is add more of the same quests, content development requires core technology development and adaptation which introduces bugs, not just in the new content, but...
Dude, you need to relax. It's just a game. It is, in my opinion, a good game in spite of its challenges. Yes it is competing with 2012 WoW, and you know what? It's still a better game, in the opinion of many people who have played both, including myself. It's not perfect, it has bugs, but there...
Doesn't seem to work. It lists "Low", "Medium", and "High" as options. I suspect it is supposed to be FXAA, but it doesn't work for me. I'll try messing around with it some more later, see what I can figure out.
To make my [H] job easier, I buy as much as I can on Steam. That means that I mostly pay whatever Steam is charging, when I need the product. Sometimes it's full price, and sometimes not.
So...my Sith Marauder is level 43. I am on Voss, which is a cool planet, but is kicking my ass. Everything up until now has been pretty easy, but Voss is pretty tough. I think it might be time to seek out a guild.
I thought it said it was going down for maintenance, not a patch.
It was never going to be a great game. They should have left the series alone after DN3D. DNF would have been even worse if 3D Realms had actually managed to ship it.
