Not true, I bought this stuff from Sidewinder and it is great. Unless they have switched recently this stuff is a very tight weave and no colors show thru. No point in spending double on mdpc stuff.

Never had any problems with clamp and barb fittings. BP compression fittings are just really popular right now and very expensive, but people pay for them so its really up to you if the look is worth 10X the price.

Yeah, home depot have some nice black allen screws similar to the silver ones you have there. at least the local one around me does.
