Hard Drive Temperature Sensors are internal to the hard drive itself. From what I can guess its either a problem with the software or the temperature sensor itself. I'd try another hard drive temperature program and compare the values to see for yourself. Dan

Grab a spare hard drive and try to install XP on it. This will rule out a virus. If it still happens then it is a hardware issue that will need to be tested further. I dont think its a virus, I'm more likely to bet its hardware related or XP has been corrupted.

I've had a similar problem before. The cause of it was the RAM. I had it clocked in such a way that when i played games it would crash it or restart the system. What you should do is go get Memtest86 and run that on the pc, that can rule out RAM as the problem or identify it as the problem...
