just my 2 cents
first im waiting to see what the x-pack does for D3. It could fix many issues or make them worse. We will see on that.
Doom3 was several things. I thought it was a great game the first time around. Repetitive yes, but brought back memories of playing doom1 at 2 am years...
heh yes that is why i havent posted for a bit, too much entertainment in these threads and they make up like half the video card thread now. personally my computer runs cs:s at 1280x1024 using a 6800gt with aa and af on without any lag (only network) so i am completely happy with my card...
are there any available mods or levels to see how stressful the doom3 engine is outdoors, saw pics of large levels for quake4 and was wondering how stressful that will be
a guy a few rooms down has a x800pro and i have a 6800GT, the x800pro runs higher framerates at times than my 6800GT, but my card is very consistent and in the end puts a better overall score. just my experience.
concerning cards, the 6xxx series just continues the trend i have seen that the...
x16 is the type of PCI express slot that is used, that is on both or it would not be PCI express graphics.
Speed is not everything. Hardocp did a review about the 6600GT and x700 cards and the 6600GT won overall. Read that review.
very playable on my dorm friends mobility 9000 and it runs @ 1024x768 on my mobility 9600, so im digging the scalibility. playing doom3 in class passes the time
the control center is a very interesting program if you read about what it can do
if it can auto update video drivers and not screw up my computer, i wont miss the extra reboots
heh reminds of when compusa "had them in stock", people will be on the preodering line for a while, zipzoomfly has the XT-PE in stock its just for 800 dollars and its an asus card. get em while they last (if they are really even there)
an antec 420 is fine. have read them running ultras fine, but i have seen generics even above 480w die because of the ultra. as long as its fine quality, you will be fine with anything above 400, have seen some have problems with even antecs below 400
well though my previous post points that out as well, you must remember burningrave, not everybody has money growing on trees :p . i may be getting a 6800GT now, but i still remember the days when the ti4200 was like a dream that i could never afford and then when i got the 9500pro and then i...
my only concern is how this x700 and 6600GT (which i have read will sell at 200 approx.) will compete with the 6800nu which is right now 50-75 dollars more. im just wondering if these cards can compete with it. does anybody know what performance will be relative to higher end cards.
nice card, wish those prices existed here south of da border, but isnt that the same cooler that one ati retailer put on their x800 cards. starts with a "h" thats all i can remember, saw it at a get together i went to before i left home for college.
