Older 4:3 aspect ratio TV shows are often broacast with vertical black (or grey) bars to the left and right on 720p or 1080i (widescreen) channels. If I record these shows using my ATI HDTV Wonder (and Multimedia Center), it records the black bars...

I'd get the corsair pc3200 c2pt from outpost... rock solid ram... I have experience with 6Gb of it in several computers... I'm not an overclocker, but I do run tight timings and I appreciate the absolute solidity of this ram for running mathematical calculations over periods of several days...
Personally... I would buy the 1Gb c2pt corsair ram at outpost.com for $159... check me on this, but I think its faster as well as cheaper.... I'm running 6 Gb of this c2pt ram in multiple machines doing round the clock grad school research and it is excellent
I wonder how this response applies to rebates. May great Black Friday deals are a combination of store and manufacturers rebates... often these rebates are good for 1 or 2 days only starting on Black Friday. If you buy they item ahead of time you won't get the rebate... usually retailers don't...
