They are legit. I bought a board and cpu off them before, items were in stock and great service. They are also one of the few places you can get exempt for tax if you're in Cali.
Did you apply some pressure for a few seconds when putting them on? Those Enzotech's ramsink have really good thermal tape on it (3M), but you need to hold it for 30 seconds with some pressure to let it stick. I just recently took mine off and nearly bent all the pins from trying to nudge it...

If you're still set on a 17", have you considered the Sager 9261's little brother, the 5791? It packs plenty of power, high resolution, and still use mobile cpu so it should save you some battery life compared to the 9261...
I noticed there are a few TN's panels out there with glossy finish such as Sammy 245BW and HP W2408. But there seems to be none for VA panel? Personally I can't stand color shifting and even with glossy finish on TN's are nice but that color shifting annoys me. And since VA is right in between...
I had 7541a amp before too, it's pretty good for running 2 pair of components or if you wanna bridge it for a small sub. I like how the channel is divided unlike a lot of other component amps only 75W x 4.
