I bought mine back in May for $860 and has been my best computer purchase ever! Three of my relatives now have one after playing with my 2405fpw. I've seen it going for around $700+ after the last batch of coupons.
I feel like I'm getting seasick!....what did you mix in that coke before snapping those pics! :) Nice Mouse.....I have one just like it that has served me well for years until recently moving to the mx1000.
Radiospots,
It looks like the Logitech speaker deals have dried up for now. They could go on sale again anytime though. I'm really anal about sound quality so I do notice a sizable difference between the onboard audio cards and the audigy 2. To many people it's just fine to stick with the...
Hopefully I understand your questions so here goes!
I connect to my HD box via Component Cables. I assume that it would be possible to connect the output on the HD box to the video input on your capture card. I have not tried to do this (thought about it), but seems feasible.
The HD box...
I'm happy you liked the HD previews! I was pretty excited when I first saw them too! When watching TV via the HD cable box and optical audio output, the PC doesn't need to be turned on. In order to output audio from the TV tuners inside my computer though, audio cables need to be connected to...
I've been a voyeur of this thread for about a year now so I guess it's my turn. 2405fpw sharing space with sweet 13 inch RCA that has lasted for about 10 years! The RCA is my friend while the wife is watching Gilmore Girls...burrrr...
Radiospots:
Bummer about your z-5300's. I'm sure they are nice speakers, but the z-5500's are on sale right now. Look for threads on Z-5500 deals on Fatwallet.com or slickdeals.net People have been getting them for around $200 shipped. I hope you get your system up and running soon! I...
The first pics that I took were showing the 2405fpw running directly from Component cables connected to my HD Comcast Box.
I have an ATI All-in-Wonder 9700 Pro (Has a TV tuner onboard the AGP Vid Card) and a separate PCI ATI TV tuner card that I use to display TV via regular cable (coaxial)...
You can back away from your desk and take a picture of your posters if you want...I'm sure others wouldn't mind. :) Keep those kleenex's handy for allergies!
I would recommend keeping your eye out for a deal on SLICKDEALS or FATWALLET for the next Dell deal on the 2405pfw or the 2005fpw. I bet you could luck out and get 2 2005fpws for about $800. I personally wouldn't get 2 2005's, but rather one 2405 for about $800-900. I love my 2405..plus you...
We had a HUGE 17" CRT that came with the ZEOS Pantera Pent 90 my dad bought back in 1993-4?....it lasted until 2001before it hummed constantly and took forever to "warm up."
I had a 20" and the moment I saw the 24" I was in awe....felt buyers remorse hardcore for getting the 20" and had to immediately ebay it.....do the right thing and get the 24"!
Are you trying to attach the fan to the backplate that came with your motherboard? My Neo2 Platinum has a plate on it that we had to remove before using the plate provided by Cooler Master. I'm kinda bummed about my new computer because we found out the motherboard is dead! Yeah I have to...
I ASSumed that the Hyper 6+ would fit inside my WaveMaster case, but once I got everything installed, the fan protruded about 1/2" out the side of my case. WTF! Has one else had this problem?
I'm trying to mount the CoolerMaster Hyper 6+ to a MSI K8N NEO2 PLATINUM Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce3 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard but there is already a mounting plate on the back of the motherboard. Does anyone else have this combination? Can I use the plate already on the motherboard or do I have...

Life is full of aluminum colored surprises.....
Buy the 2405fpw! Best hardware decision I've made since buying a Zeos Pantera (Pentium 90 with a Diamond Stealth 64 and 17" CRT!) $4000 Woot!
You wouldn't be sorry if you bought the Dell 2405fpw ($950ish) but you would need a sound source like Logitech z-5500's ($223ish @ Dell) or a receiver / speaker setup.
My brother loves his 34" Sony XBR (wide) that he bought at a year end clearance with no tax for $1500? Probably one of the...
Just do the right thing and call them to get things straight. Your integrity is worth more than $1000 IMO. Pay Dell and move on....a clear conscience is worth it. :)
I have my 2405fpw connected to an All in Wonder 9700 Pro and it works fine. I've heard of people connecting much worse.....do don't sweat it. It may be a good idea to upgrade your vid card...you are buying a $1000 monitor after all! :)
I've had my Comcast HD box connected to the 2405fpw for the past two months and I love it...so does everyone else who comes over to check it out. I have pics of it broadcasting HD, but I'm at work. :( My brother has a Sony 34" XBR HD TV connected to comcast HD and they look very similar in...
LMAO @ this thread...best laugh I've had since I read about getting FREE CANDY at CompuUSA after pricematching...
excerpt for the lazy:
Ok I just went to a "Crap"USA near my house to try this candy deal out ... I brought along my WallGreens AD and it was 2-Snickers for $1.00... I showed...
