I got a Dell E1505 w/ X1400. It has 128mb on-board and 128 Shared w/ System. How can I disable the shared portion of the memory. I looked in the BIOS and couldn't find a setting for it? Thanks

Very nice LCD! Worth the extra money IMP. Yesterday I took a look at this monitor as well as the others in the GX2 (17,19 20WS) series at Fry's. They really do look better than the others. It's not just the glossy screen that makes them look so nice, as they had the previous GX models there...

I want to go dual monitor, something like dual 17" @ 1280*1024. Would I be better off to get a single large WS monitor @ 1680*1050? Trying to do the dual set up on the cheap, that's why I'm thinking 17" instead of 19" or bigger. Thanks for the help...

Is it just me or is this Poloroid a rebranded Viewsonic? Spec on both are exact and if you look at them they even look alike. Anyway you can get the Poloroid at CircuitCity for $1000- no rebates.

I want to pull the trigger on a 2405, but since it lacks HDCP I'm hesitating. Should I go with the 2405 or get something with HDCP? I plan to keep whatever I get for a while.

That's messed up. I was looking last night and they had the 7800 and X1400. That X1400 is still shared mem. WTF? I really wanted one, but now... If you click "help me decide" it still shows the 7800

This camera is the bee's knees! Very nice color and sharpness. The video is great 640*480 @30FPS, 12X zoom I'm very happy. Much nicer than my Canon A75. Definately recommend a fast SD card. I went with a 2GB SanDisk Ultra (paid retail for that :( )

I checked the Oppo and noticed it said "Up Convert from 480i to 720p/1080i"... That got me thinking, What if you play a backed up DVD? Will it or the other brands up convert to HD?

I believe it can upconvert previous XBox games only.

I've seen a couple of these newfangled "upconversion" DVD players @ BB. Do they do what they claim? I have HDMI connections and need a new DVD player, but wasn't sure if their worth it. Sony Samsung Are their other models, better models? Thanks :)

Viewsonic has a nice 27" and 32" HDTV with lots o' connections. They should be in your range.

Honestly, I don't think you will notice the difference at stock speeds. 512k or 200Mhz for Gaming IMO cache helps more, for .rar and DVD encoding MHz helps more. IMO you will have insignificant real world differences. Check this chart, I know it does not have the opty, but you can compare...
