Definitely seems faster to me. I had read that the new Quicktime lacked a lot of features, and that 7 was gone, but thats not really true. Quicktime 7 is installed in /Applications/Utilities for me and was one of the customization options during install.
Did...
After playing with OSX86 for awhile and liking it quite a bit, I bought one of the new MacBooks. Best laptop I've ever used. The build quality is worth the premium alone. OS X is a better OS for me for anything other than gaming. In terms of the the OS though, it is definitely personal...
I'm not sure about older macs, but newer ones will have the windows drivers on the OS X install disc. Just put it in while in Windows and it will install everything. Easiest XP install I've ever done, tbh.
The galaxy map has different views. Where it says Milky Way, it is zoomed out all the way. The different selections on that screen are clusters. Left click on a cluster and then you see different solar systems. Left click on a solar system and you see all the planets on that system. So...

This should give you a pretty good idea on what your flow rates are going to be like. Everyone is likely to have a different opinion on just how high your flow rates should be.
2nd vote for a DeathAdder. They're not all that expensive either. After trying several laser mice (Copperhead, G5, X-750F), the DeathAdder was a very welcome replacement. Best mouse I've used. If you're going after a mouse with a lot of buttons though, DA probably won't cut it.
The Coolit systems both lose the advantage of a TEC because the power usage of the CPU is overshooting its capabilities, and you're reduced to crappy water cooling. I have an Ultra-120 Extreme and its a great HS, highly recommended.
I'm actually surprised to see people still talking about this article. It was pretty clearly biased and just flat out wrong in many respects. My current machine has a CPU only loop that used to be cooled by an Ultra-120 Extreme. Its a great heatsink, no doubt, but it couldn't beat my water...
I have the same problem, I don't know if this fixes it permanently, but its better than having to reboot constantly until it decides to work.

I had some MC14's on my 1900xt, but switched them out for some OCZ aluminum ramsinks(now discontinued). I actually got better mem clocks on the OCZ's than I did with the MC14's, and the adhesive was decent.
Well, you all talked me into picking up this board. So far, I love it, it took my E6600 to 3.6 in no time. Too bad I'm going to have to RMA the thing. The PWMs hiss like crazy, even at stock speeds. Loud enough to drown out everything else in the system. Has anyone else here run into this?
An HR-05 SLI would work very well, and be nice and quiet. Another alternative that many people, including myself have used is an Evercool VC-RE. http://shoppts.com/evvcvgcodnf4.html
I really didn't mind the article all that much. The main point (challenging whether or not Vista innovates at all) is quite a good argument, although its reasons may be misinformed.
The only thing that really got under my skin was the reference to a "duct-tape and barbed-wire system", and...
I got my first X1900XT open box, had to RMA it immediately, I think it was a static victim. Got a second one open box, worked fine, but didn't OC very well. If you have to RMA an openbox item, you'll have to call Newegg to get them to waive the restocking fee, b/c RMA repair won't be an...
I don't usually recommend people wc their mobo chipset, but I've heard that the 680i's are really hot. Ditch the MAG pump. Way too weak, especially if you're going to be throwing 4 blocks in there. An 18WDDC/MCP355 w/ top would be the best option, IMO, followed by the D5/MCP655. Good call on...
I use the MCW60, and it does a great job. I think the top is kinda cheapy though, and I hate plastic barbs. Its mounting is really easy, and it has an optional G80 mounting plate available. The MP-1 is way too restrictive, IMO. The Maze4/5 are both really good blocks, but overall, the MCW60...
I completely agree, except I think that both blocks are proven performers at this point. I've been following all the flaming going on XS right now. Its really quite ridiculous. Two things stand out to me, 1) the results from H20-FragMonger show that the Fuzion has an insanely low pressure...
I don't think that they do. The biggest difference is in the lower restriction of the Apogee GT and especially the Fuzion (versus the Storm, MP-05 SP LE, Nexxxos XP). As far a performance differences, very similar results would be seen on both blocks. I would vote for the Fuzion, based on its...
Normally, I would suggest the MCR220 but with those fans, the BIGTS may do better due to the fin density. I may be wrong though. If you're dead set on those fans, you might want to consider a BIX.
Regardless, performance seems to be very high with the FuZion with extremely low restriction. IMO, that makes it a very desirable block. Now all you're seeing is the "experts" flaming each other about testing methods that would yield very little difference to most end users.
I ran a torture test on my first X1900XT with a MCW60 that had hardly any contact with the core (well, no contact to be honest). Surprisingly, the card ran fine through 2D tests like Prime, etc.. It didn't die until I ran 3DMark06. My desktop looked like this afterwards. Supposed to be a...
Go with the FuZion. For the MCP355, either get the alphacool top or petras top, whichever fits your preference. Don't forget to get some sort of additive for the distilled water, you don't want any civilizations starting up in your loop.
