How do you check cpu temperature under heavy loading?? I know BIOS gives you cpu temperature but how do you check it while you're on Windows?? Do you need some kind of software for that?

Well, since you'll need a new mobo with pci-e, that's another $100. But I agree with the other guy. You'll probably need to get a new mobo with pci-e next time when you upgrade that 6800gs anyway. It's time to upgrade.

Yes, they will be fine. And you don't have to upgrade or OC your old cpu just because you got a new video card. I've even seen a guy with AMD Athlon xp 1700+ with a 7800gs.
