Did anyone else order from Antonline via Amazon and not yet have their monitor ship out?
I ordered mine on April 1st and it still says "Preparing for Shipment." I'm hoping they allocated one and that I'm not stuck waiting on their next shipment.
The initial backup would take a long time, which I'm prepared for, but I would do incremental backups after that.
I'd like to run the backups from 2 PC's daily but keep the drive somewhere other than attached to my PC. Right now I'm just connecting a USB drive and putting it in a safe, but I...
I'd like to be able to back up data to a hard drive around 1.5TB in size. Ideally, I'd like a 3.5" HDD enclosure with wireless N built in, so I could simply plug in a power cable and hide the drive somewhere. It looks like several devices were made years back to either share a USB drive, or even...
I have an IBM Thinkpad T43 with a display problem. The colors are very washed out (desaturated) and the screen is very bright... blacks look gray and everything else has a white halo. This occurs outside of the OS during the splash screen, so it must be a hardware problem. I've changed out the...
Perhaps I was shooting a little high - let's say 2.8 - 3.0GHz. I would think the Freezer 7 would be up to the task as my case is well ventilated.
E4300, E4400, or other?
I purchased 2GB of OCZ PC2-6400 and an Arctic Cooler Freezer 7. I'm planning to buy a GA-P35-DS3R and am still trying to decide on a processor.
I'd like to keep the price of the CPU under $200. I plan to do an overclock to 3.0 or 3.2 GHz. I want to "set it and forget it" - just have a...
I'm looking to buy a T40 or T42 for field service. Are there any vendors which carry these notebooks (aside from eBay). I'll go to eBay if necessary; I'm just curious if there are any other sources for off-lease or refurb thinkpads.
I have the HD590's and X-Fi XtremeMusic for BF2. Definitely get the X-Fi for its Ultra High audio setting in BF2. I was using a regular Audigy previously and there wasn't much bass. The X-Fi outputs better bass for both music and BF2.
Thanks guys. The lifetime warranty on the evga would be good. Newegg doesn't state "CO" in the model name, but it's this model, right?
How would you say the fan noise is, preferably compared to other 7800GT's? I'm seeing mixed reviews on the noise.
A friend of mine is looking to buy a 7800GT, and has mainly looked at the BFG and XFX cards. I'd research them myself, but as the card is not for me and he doesn't intend to overclock, I'd rather just get your opinions.
What's your best pick for performance and price, preferably with low fan...
I've been out of the console scene for a while and it was a good article to get me up to speed on the features of the XBOX 360 and how they are implemented. Great photos and screenshots of the menus. I'd say the review did well in overviewing the value and capabilities of the system. When...
I don't think you can switch to a VGA source on the 2405FPW if you already have your PC connected with DVI. This would mean you'd have to disconnect your DVI cable from the monitor in order to switch sources. Perhaps someone can confirm this.
It's a new iPod, and a new battery. I wouldn't jump to conclusions and claim the battery will die really quickly. Soldering the battery wires wouldn't be difficult for anyone with a little soldering experience. For those without, the battery can be replaced through Apple or from online repair...
Could you take a screenshot and either send it to me or post a link? I'd like a 1920x1200 screenshot to show a friend what it'd look like as I don't have WoW.
Could be worse, I ordered a week ago for $899 and have the same ship date. Also, BF2 doesn't fully support widescreen (you can fill the screen, but it will be stretched due to the point of view). Hopefully the developers will be working on a fix in an upcoming patch.
Ugh... just purchased and opened the game, and ordered a 2405FPW yesterday. Not that it's a deciding factor, but I assumed I'd be able to play the game in widescreen at full resolution. EA needs to get with the times. I hope widescreen support is addressed soon in a patch.
Before I register an account, how do the names work?
Am I stuck using my registered name ingame, or can the ingame name be changed at will? My nickname is taken, but if whatever name I choose can't be changed and will appear in stats then it'll take a bit more consideration.
Are letters...
I purchased yesterday through Dell Home with a 25% off code. There was no tax or shipping as Dell has no offices/warehouses in my state, so I assume with this $840 that would be the total price for me as well. I'm just wondering how I should go checking if I can get credited. Is the extra $60...
I just ordered the 2405FPW for $899.25 yesterday. I assume this deal is $840 OTD since tax doesn't apply to most at Dell Home and there's free shipping. Not that $899 is a bad price, but is there a way I can get credited back $60 since I just ordered and the item has not shipped?
You have to activate Windows, Office, Norton Antivirus, and many other applications these days. It's not very out of the ordinary. It's simply an anti-piracy countermeasure, and I have no problem with it. I do not know of any PC gamers who have no access to an internet connection. At any rate...
The Leadtek does seem to have the better heatsink fan/design. Mine idles at 60C and doesn't go above 68C under load. The fan is pretty quiet at idle, and isn't louder than most stock case fans under load. I was unable to unlock all the pipes for a 10-15% performance increase, but not able to...
Just installed my new Leadtek 6800, which is working pretty well. My only problem thus far has been the TV output. I've connected my TV via S-Video using the "clone display" option. My desktop and games display normally. However, I am unable to get video files to display (avi and mpeg). I have...
He's probably right, but recovery services are horribly expensive ($400+/hr. last I checked). If the data's really important, you have a pretty good chance of success if you buy another identical working drive and swap the circuit boards.
Edit: missed the above post. Like he said.
Best Buy is a very large chain, and has a smaller selection of video cards. By buying in a larger bulk than Newegg, they likely purchase the cards for less.
Actually, I don't think my temperature readings are correct. With the shipping BIOS, I was getting ridiculously low temp readings such as 29 degrees Celcius. Now, I am getting 52C Idle/60C Load, with a ThermalTake Silent Boost, not overclocked. The heatsink is cool to the touch, so I think it's...
I'd agree with most of those statements, but it shouldn't be necessary to go through what you did for a SATA HDD to be detected. The drive, however, will not show up during the boot process or anywhere in the BIOS. You should be able to setup Windows on the drive without any configuration of the...
I have the VNF3-250 as well. Do you have a link to the BIOS revision you're referring to? Is it the 7/29/04 BIOS (filename VN120729.BIN), or something else completely? I flashed to this revision and it cleared up the temperature reporting and works well for the most part, but I do have...
