When recording video I wouldn't think framerate would drop because of video or anything going on. If anything it may use more cpu cycles and TONS of hd writing but I can't see why any other resources would be used.

Yikes that's scary to hear... I'm running a winnie 3500+ @ 2.4, 1gb pc4000 geil, cdrw, dvd, 4 case fans, and a 6800gt on a 400w non-truepower Antec psu. Everything is stable and fine.. but that's odd you had problems.

How do you get 300fsb out of pc3200 ram? I thought running asynch was really more of a performance hinderance then help.

Hmm... so the rounding error I got in prime95 was probably memory then and not cpu? I was running 250x10 and I got errors.. Right now I'm running 240x10 on the stock cooler 44c load. If it can do 240x11 for 2640 then that's probably nearing the cpu limit anyway.. but yea, I guess this board...

I'm running stock cooler at 44c load 3500+ @ 2.4ghz... quiet, lol :p As for massive oc'ing, yea I'd go with xp-90 and a nice, quiet Panaflo or other < 30db fan. Anything under 30db you can't really hear compared to the other 4 case fans you probably have going imo.

Sittin at 2.4ghz 240x10 right now on stock air cooling with my a8v 2.00.. 3500+ winchester cpu. Temp is 44c load... it boots fine at 2.5 but i dont want to push it on stock cooling even if it is still somewhat low in temp.

I got a 3500+ 2.2 oc'd to 2.4 240x10 on stock cooler at 44c load.. lol. I may or may not get a new heatsink and fan... this is all default, who needs more then 2.4 a64 power for gaming? :P

Had first gen ath64 3200+ and had mobo issues... and sadly it still outperformed my p4 3.3 ic7-G setup. My A8V Deluxe / 3500+ 939 arrives wednesday and I will say good riddance to intel once again.

Your 3000+ only hit 2160? I notice you have an A8V 2.0, the board I have coming... you think for some reason it's the boards fault and not your cpu? I've seen some heavy oc's with both A8V and the neo2 board... but curious why you're changing.
