Hi, is it in any way harmful for a CRT to run it at max contrast and 0 brightness? I was calibrating my Sony G520 according to this webpage and I get the best picture at 0 brightness and 100 contrast. I don't know if this would be bad for it though.

I have a Chieftec case with four 80mm fans (2 in front, 2 in rear). Each fan has a red yellow and black connector (duh). Which wires would I switch so that the fans ran on 5v and not 12v? I don't really understand why they have 3 wires anyways, why do you need the 3rd wire? Thanks

The CPU fan in my Gateway Solo 5300 has gotten really loud over the past few weeks, can I just oil it or something? New ones are like $70 which I can't afford right now. This is what it looks like.. It has 3 little holes in the top of the center of the fan. Can I squirt some oil in there?

My laptop display goes dark sometimes and I have to tap the back of the display to get it to come back on. I took the whole display apart and put it back together and it still does it. I recently changed the backlight, could the bulb not be soldered right or a loose connection?
