Whats wrong with this pic? 6800GT problems

Yeah i see what your saying, but in real life its going to be very difficult to prove that it was the sellers fault, especially being 2nd hand. He could claim the buyer damaged it while trying to install it. And even if you did want to persue the matter your looking small claims court, and even...

Whats wrong with this pic? 6800GT problems

Video memory thats not getting enough/stable power will make the screen look like that. Check for things like a loose or blown capacitor, could be an easy fix. I've broken caps of nVidia cards many times they seem to be quite fragile, if it is you may be able to resolder or change it.

Why not have a USB/FW PPU?

Off the top of my head: Not enough bandwidth, don't confuse mega-bits per second with mega-bytes per second. The card would also have to be packaged in an external enclosure adding to production costs. As well as an AC adaptor for power since FireWire & USB2 won't be able to feed it enough...

    computer engineer asks for advise

    A8N32-SLI Deluxe and NCQ Problems

NCQ is for networked drives. It encurs a perfomance loss on for single user type systems and is better left turned off.

Got to say LanPirate1 you made me laugh, nice observation on the similarities of the two cards. fan boys are so sad, reading through this thread is funny and really shows how peoples anger prevents them from seing the true point. There has indeed been alot of talk and rumor concerning a take...

    Asus A8N32-SLI Premium

as long as it has a Game/MIDI port like all their otherboards then i'll probably get it, for me thats the clincher between an Asus setup and a DFI.

    Unusual SMP 1501mhz

My PIII 1.4 goes up to 1753mhz (10.5x167) on 1.45v but the PCI & AGP start causing problems (no 1/5 divider), i've primed it at that for over a day with no errors. unfortunatly I killed my VH6T so i had to look for a replacement. I should have a P3TDDE turning up in a week, seemed to offer...
