so i needed 1.4 volts to keep it at 2.5, bootable
but it was only prime stable for 2 hours before prime quit out
the bios/aibooster says its really 1.45 volts and "1.35" is more like 1.4
how much more juice can this thing take?
i got the asus ghost recon edition gs
its suprisingly robust for overclocking
core @ 560
ram @ 1580
stable as anything
i thought this was pretty decent seeing as it was the cheap version
hey guys, i recently got my new system
athlon 64 4200+ x2
asus m2n-e mobo
(currently)2x512 legend 533 ddr2 ram (I know it sucks)
asus 7900gs
the cpu idles at 33-35 degrees (depending on the air temp in my room)
load about 46-49
so what i did
1: went into the bios and set the HT...
when i first saw a 19" WS my first impression wasnt positive, it just looked so minature.
Its not tall enough, so i got a 20" WS, which seems like the minimum acceptable size for me
component seems to look more vibrant but has more jaggies
vga isn't as colourful but has less aliasing
i use this monitor with pc and 360, i reccomend it.
after 2 months
I finally got my a00 replaced by the a02 revision
there's still a tiny bit of banding in the darker area of the gradients but everywhere else its smoooth
awesome monitor
errr...
the galaxy 7600GS is overclocked/nice cooler/cheaper
and runs just as fast. According to this review
http://www.guru3d.com/article/Videocards/347/10/
it looks like it can run much higher resolutions than you are suggesting
is there anything wrong with this chipset that I should know about? Its the cheapest SLI board out there, i'm building a budget PC, but I want it to be a platform for the future when I eventually get AMDs next gen chip. My main concern is that this board might not overclock very well.. i hope...
so it would be better to get a 3200+ rather than a 3800+ x2 and save some money if you're just putting together a cheap am2 rig to bridge to gap between now and k8l?
this rig would be for online gaming primarly, only using a 7600gs as well
my plan is to put together a cheap AM2 rig with a 3800+ x2, galaxy 7600 gs, some good ram and a decent mobo
this will do for me until vista/dx10/k8l/crysis etc is ready to come out
god I hope the next gen amd chips will work on am2
