i know, this thread is 3 years old but hey, if anyone has an invite, i would love one. directv is getting expensive and i'm cancelling it tomorrow.
i seed 10 mbps up all day long!
nevermind. i found the answer in asus forums.
turns out the asus smartdoctor available for this card is the older version that wont allow voltage core changes. but the version shipped with the 69xx does. simple fix.
Is anyone else having this issue? It won't let me adjust the vcore no matter what I do.
I can move the slider to what ever voltage i want, but then it will set the actual voltage back to the default.
i have the latest drivers installed and asus osd.
any suggestions?
i was able to run FO3 with my 8800gt, my friend gave me his 3850 and it got better win7 scores somehow.
i think i'm going to upgrade my vid card anyway. to either a GTX460 or HD6850, they are real close in price with the 460 being a little cheaper, i think. which one would be the better of the two?
My PC is getting antiquated and i've been wanting to play New Vegas quite badly
However, i also own a 360 and ps3. So, which console should i get the game for?
the pc is only running a hd3870, 2gb ddr2, amd 5000+BE. also, my current lcd is 1280x1024, but sometimes i play stuff on my tv @...
My computer is fairly old;
Asus M3a, AMD 5000+, 8800gt, 2gb ram
THE PROBLEM; when i try to watch vids on my 60" 1080p it stutters, also on my 40" 1080p. not all files, mind you, just the high quality ones.
i also run ps3mediaserver and that fails constantly as well.
surely the computing...
haha, that's actually what i figured as well, judging by the article.
I try to buy US made stuff every chance I get, but for PC stuff, or anything electronic, it doesnt seem to happen.
oh! except for my shaver, that was made here!
My older AMD 5000+BE and 8800gt are kind of outdated and i need to upgrade. Besides, i bought the very first asus M3A and it is a POS!
I want to stay with AMD because cost is a factor, but i cannot seem to find any mobos that are AMD and support SLI. Why is that? Or am I not looking in the...
I just got my m3a running last week and it rocks! I'm using it for gaming so having six drives is not necessary. if you want it to multi task 3 disc drives and 6 harddrives along with sli or crossfire, look elsewhere. otherwise it is an excellent deal.
This is probably a very silly question, but I really don't know.
Right now I'm running a new asus m3a, corsair xms2 ddr2 800, amd x2 5000 BE, msi 7900gt. I can't seem to overclock the processor past 13.5x multiplier w/out cutting the memory bus speed down to 375mhz. would it make a difference...
just got back from the one in San Francisco, picked up a 5000 BE for $130 OTD. not a great deal, but not bad either. now i gotta find an asus m3a on sale...
they had two in stock, but i didnt ask about the 6400BE
i just got back from compusa in san francisco. and.... drumroll please....
IT STILL SUCKS!! not a single thing on sale that was deserving of a purchase. maybe when they are a week or two from closing the doors will we find good deals.
