you can find some killer deals on the ati 4870 512 mb right now. I got mine for 165 after rebates and in about 2 months or so I will go crossfire. My recommendation would be to go I7 now and get the 4870 1gb or the gtx 260 core 216 and then go crossfire/SLI when the prices drop again.

Acer p241waid for thar price range would be my recommendation. You can find it on sale for about $275. It has an HDMI port as well. I have this monitor and it looks works great.

I saw this screen setup in a well lit warehouse and all I noticed about it was how refelctive the screen was. Make sure you are not going to be in a room with sun coming through the windows. For the price I would consider a few other screens first. Maybe a Acer p241, or a dell. Glossy screens...

Get the SB X-Fi XtremeGamer. It is a great card for the money. Also, if you don't have a good speaker setup or good headphones, I think purchasing a top end sound card is worthless. If you don't have either buy a pair of good phones or speakers.
