Really happy so far with a Venue 11 pro 5130 here, coming from an Asus Transformer Prime TF201. Got so used to Android that I forget the capabilities of the Venue 11. I very seldom pick up the TF201 anymore.
My current laptop is an older 17in gateway FX 7811 with a16x10 panel at 1920x1200 and I have to scale everything up to 125%, that is why I am wondering about those type of resolutions on a 10in screen.
Okay my old eyes are not the greatest anymore and I have been looking at the newer atom tablets with full Windows to replace my old transformer tf201. Have an order in for the transformer book 64GB, which is a 1366x768 panel and the same res as my tf201and it works out great. Missed the 299...
I could kick myself in the butt if my foot would reach as I had one in my cart at the Microsoft store for the 299 + tax = 320, but was at work at the time and did want to use the open network so waited till I got home and boom out of stock. They went fast, out of stock in less than 8hrs. Have...
The LED only lights when the battery is low, or when the dpi is changed, and initial connection. It does not stay on all the time. Blue in color. Now my mx900 on the other hand has an annoyingly bright red LED that flashes when the battery is low.
Also wanted to add that the scroll wheel...
hopefully these help. The Logitech I am comparing to is a MX900 which is equivalent in size to your G500. In the last pic I just threw out what I had.
1) Logitech V220
2) Microsoft mobile mouse 6000 (great mouse, but horrible battery life)
3) Gigabyte M7700B, bluetooth
4) Microsoft mobile...
I can post up a couple of comparison shots later today if interested. Definitely a compact style mouse, made with mobility in mind, but multifunction vs alot of other bluetooth mice out there. It is small compared to what my large hand is used too, but I can live with it. On the flip side it...
Have had pretty good luck with these bluetooth mice. Gigabyte GM-M7700B

Compact, inexpensive, battery life is decent, auto on/off, plus...
Worked here, thanks OP. Would be nice to have a couple of copies, but no need to get greedy, so 1 will do. I'm sure other deals will come along in the future.
PS is it possible to have an install of 32 bit on one machine and 64 bit on another using the same key.
and
Is key good for...
Today one of my neighbor brought by her Satellite L645 saying that she could no longer click on anything with the touchpad. (Synaptic)
Trying to gain a consenus on if I should replace the touchpad based on my finding below.
1) the left button does nothing,
2) right button works,

T5270 is a 800mhz FSB, T9400 is a 1066mhz FSB. You would need a 800mhz FSB Core 2 like a T9500 or equivalent T series.
All Core 2 duo's

Ordered through TD on the morning of the 29, drive arrived the 1st by USPS. Had a devil of a time trying to clone old drive over, finally got it squared away after plugging away at it little by little. My first SSD and liking it so far.
Something else to check is the power supply. Some of those were known to be somewhat flakey. Does it run the poorly also on just battery?
Might try posting over on the gateway forum at the site with the teardown link I posted earlier as there are alot of good people there with knowledge of...
As others have mentioned it could possibly be a thermal/throttling issue, so it might be a good time to do a good through cleaning if your machine has not had one over the course of it's 3 yrs. There are 2 seperate heatsinks / fans in the 7805. One for the CPU / NB and another for the GPU. The...
With the higher res screen in the 700, will everything on the screen be smaller like switching to a high res screen on a computer or will everything be scaled to normal like the New Ipad with it's high res screen
Kind of new with this, but what is a good way to transfer files from and old dead PC with HD removed and placed in an external usb enclosure to a new PC. Old machine had Vista new machine has Win7. Laptops
thanks
Gave the reflow a try a few weeks back but was unsuccessful. Was able to get it to boot though but with multiple colored vertical lines appearing on the screen. Tried a second time with worse results, the screen barely lighting with the same vertical colored lines. I think it is offically...
Looks like 512mb of ram is built onto the MB under the keyboard, non replaceable. According to Toshiba spec you are limited to 1.5gb. Prescott 533FSB processor, if you already have a 3.3 (aka 538) the fastest I'm seeing is a 3.46 (aka 552) not worth an upgrade...
Evil, no I never got to experiment with the Fujitsu BIOS although there were times I really came close. It has been so long ago and I cannot remember those who did. I do remember it had to be forced flashed though, but cannot remember the steps to do it. Something about adding a cmd switch...
nice machines but getting a little oudated. 500 would be more than I would want to pay 350 maybe. I have one of the 7811 which I paid 700 for new in a sealed box from BB approx 2 years ago. It has been a great machine. Your weak link will always be the 8800 gpu, as the cpu, and HD's are...
If I remember correctly. You will have to teardown to get at it. For a quick glimpse as to where it is take the bottom cover off and shine a light to the right of the gpu and you will see the battery, encased in black. The pic only shows the connector and wires, not the battery itself...

The P7811fx(can house 2 HD's) came with it and it was very useful in being able to convert my existing single HD to RAID 0. Was actually pretty cool, had to change a couple of registry enteries, then enter the Intel Matrix Storage Manger and convert from a single drive to RAID 0 with all info...
If it all works out I guess I'll be the first to do a 5000 to 5300 conversion.
Good tip on the targus bricks, and yep I did buy one of the 180w targus ps as well as Tanware and others, luckily they are not listed as a recalled model. The 180's were part # PA-1181-08.
PS does anyone...
