Ive been using vsftpd on linux for quite a while now its an excellent program, and very secure if setup correctly. Probably the best ftp server for linux but also probably one of the more difficult to setup (If user authentication is needed). Anonymous ftp works out of the box. I had it running...
parser-3.1.py
Heres the updated python proggy, i fixed the literal that ends with a ' problemo and i added a line that turns \\ to \ but im not sure if the later is needed. The output seems to be correct regardless....Python does like to get ride of double backslashes so im not sure whether...
To use psyco simply download and install the version that corisponds to your version of python from the following link. No configuration is required. The updated version of my code below will automatically use psyco if it is installed and will display a message indicating whether its running...
@ mike could u give me a little more detail on the backslashes your refering too.
heres the same code but with Psyco enabled, parser2.py
this version requires you to install the Psyco optimizer for python. On my machine this version runs 50 seconds faster.
im sure there is a better way to do this in python. Im learning the language and programing in general so i thought i would use this as an exercise. Your points are well taken, and i see that this design simply isnt going to work.
as for speed as is this program completes that wikipedia file...
ok i revised my code, the only thing i dont really know what to do with are things like \xa1 \xc3 etc. what are these? should i let them pass through? anyway heres my code:
def parse_line(infile, outfile):
for line in infile:
#remove useless text...
hey guys im learning python and thought this 'chalange' would be a good exercise soooo i wrote this little script.
note: i only read the first three pages of this thread so sry if a python script has already been posted or if the bake off is basicallly over lol. anyway hear it is:
def...
i think he has a point.....i would hang out here alot if it wasnt such a free for all. i dont think it should just be writen off^^ but taken a little more seriously.
ok so i have a mb w/ 2 ethernet ports on it, win2k is on the machine and i wanna bridge the connections just like u can in xp. but there seems to be no option to bridge them in win 2k is there a way to do this or do i need third party software? if so what software is good? thanks for any help.
eh the way i look at it is if i fry something i get an excuse to upgrade :D go for the vx(life time warrenty up to 3.5 volts!) ive heard that the ocz booster can go outa wack n accidentally shoot the voltage up, n toast a few things mem, memcontroler, and such
this may be slightly off topic but dont low impedence caps have a high ripple current and low esr caps have a low ripple current? i thought low ripple current was the most important aspect of caps for mb mods/repairs. if low impedence caps are good for MBs it makes my life alot easier seeing as...
holy crap dude read your manual and dont post bullshit like that. its 1(green) & 2(purple) or 3(green)&4(purple) for dual channel end of thread. if you wanna run it wrong go ahead but dont come in here n tell people the wrong thing and cause all kinds of confusion. un-freakin-believable.....
3d mark is more of a graphics card test....if someone has a better video card and a slower cpu they could still outscore u. if you want to know if your cpu is running fast or slower then arithmatic benching is the only way to go. btw 3dmark is a synthetic benchmark....
super pi is also a good...
to set the record straight there is a k8n neo and a k8n neo2....gotta love msi.....neo is s754 neo2 is 939(what u have) just more confusion brought to u by msi.
im not an intell guy...but i would suggest just getting an asus p4c800 deluxe for 95 bucks slap ur current proc in there and buy better ram with the extra money. that proc is supposed to overclock like a beast and with that MB ull get usb 2.0 and if u want to be able to oc that lil puppy quite...
im running a 3000+ @ 260x 9 mem 1:1 2.5 3 3 7 vcore 1.44 vdimm 2.7 temps(this board isnt accurate at all but i think about 51 load) stock HSF . ur cpu may be limiting you try a lower mult. make sure if u use sata that u only use the ports closest to the cpu as they are th only ones with speed...
ive seen this a few times and usually its either the floppy like said above, or ide jumpers set wrong. setting the hard drives to cable select and trying different cable configs. usually solves the prob.
i think thats the story of this thread....misinformation, u should really know for sure before you tell someone who may be counting on your advice what is the correct way of doing something. but anyway all is well now and the mystery has been cleared up.
i run my fsb on this mb at 260 and im running two 80gig IDE drives in striping raid, no problems at all, ive messing with it endlessly much higher with no posts and random crashes, BSOD's and such with no data loss of corruption of my hard drives.
if ur asking what ram to get...i say go either gskill 4400 le (also rated at 2 2 2 5 for 3200 speeds) or the ocz vx. the gskill will oc to a higher fsb @ 2.5 3 3 7 prob. over 300 and the vx with enough voltage(over 3.2) can do 2 2 2 5 timings at speeds approaching 250-260 mhz. both are about the...
hmm....i could be wrong i havent messed with it personally im just goin by what ive heard, i just set it to 1t and its at 260 no prob. ill have to play with 2t n see if it will go higher. i didnt think it effected the oc so much...what ram do u have?
yeah this is true, i think right now i get everything pretty close except the 12v rail which says like 2.18 or somethin stupid like that. core center can make ur comp unstable just having it open so i use it as little as possible.
well yes and no. the north bridge can still be the limiting factor i think. this is something ive been trying to figure out lately thats why i asked. its gonna be a serious pain to take the MB out n put as5 on the nb but i may have to just shut up n do it n see if it helps.
yes, the higher voltage isnt to help the ram, it helps the mem controller/nb. the voltage that feeds the ram also goes through the memcontroller and nb and in this case the only way to increase that voltage is to increase the ram voltage.
^ thats how u run in dual channel.....1purple 1 green....read the manual. slots 1 and 2 are more stable then 3 and 4 both configs are dual channel. if u put the ram in like color slots dim 1 purple dim 2 purple ull be lucky if the board posts and u wont be in dual channel. MSI just decided to...
i would strongly suggest the G.skill 4400 le.(275 at newegg) its rated ate 4400 @ 2.5 3 3 7 and at 3200 @ 2 2 2 5 most people can hit 300+ with it. i have it n i like it. another good choice is ocz's new vx stuff ive. its hitting 250 @ 2 2 2 5 with over 3.2 volts. if u want tccd the g.skill is...
with the k8n neo2 u DO NOT put the ram in the same colored slots put it in the two slots closest to the CPU 1 green 1 purple this will give u the best stability. u could also put them in the two slots ferthest from the cpu again 1green 1 purple but that has been know to be unstable in some cases.
what i heard is that chips made after week 40 are better yours is week 42 so the answer is its probably pretty good, but theres no way to know untill u try ocing it.
CBBFD "0442"5PDW the week is in "" 2004 week 42.
i heard that a64s are locked by the actual traces that acount for the higher multipliers are burned over with a laser so they are basically totally distroyed no possible way to unlock them, if anybody cares to know...
