OK, cool. I just got it because newegg offered a combo with the video card. I didn't realize it was overpriced. Swapping out.
edit: Is this RAM any good?
Where can I still obtain a legal copy of this? I can't find it available for sale from any of the usual vendors (newegg, etc.) and need a copy to install on older hardware might choke on XP. I thought about ebay, but am too worried about getting a serial that has been distributed.
Does...
I have an older system that I still play the majority of my games on (my newest system is a laptop). It is a P4 2.8 HT, and currently has an ATI X800XL card in it that gets poor, but playable (I have a lot of patience) framerates at medium settings with no AA/AF in most games at 1920x1200...
I've spent most of my time trying to transfer my 30GB iTunes library while keeping my play counts and ratings intact. Other than that, I have been removing useless software, and installing some cool new apps. I also benchmarked it with Cinebench 4.0 to see how the GMA 950 stacked up to...
Keyboard is a bit funny, but it is very functional. The larger keyspacing actually makes my big gorilla fingers a bit more accurate (I think).
Edit: The heat isn't bad. I have it on my lap now, and it is warm, but not unconfortable (it is charging).
I got the black (and paid the price) because I wanted to blend in and be different at the same time. Normal people won't pay this any attention at all at the airport or elsewhere (making it less likely of a theft target) and those in the know will recognize it for what it is. Personally, it...
I just picked one up from my local apple store.

More to come...
I love it. The matte black finish is similar to that of the black RAZR. It seems fast and the screen is really bright.
New pics url because Zooomr is down...
I can't believe that no one here has mentioned keypair authentication. If you disable password login, disable root login, and use 2048bit keys to login, it is a minimal security risk to open sshd to the outside world.
Here's a good guide on how to get public key authentication up and running...
I just bought a used LaserJet 2100TN on ebay for 68 dollars. After a little cleaning and new toner, it runs like a champ! Older LaserJets can be had for cheap and they seem to last forever.
1200x1200dpi, 12ppm Postscript emulation
I got a palm T|X in December and love it!!
It's great. I use the bluetooth connection to read webpages via my cellphone (GPRS) or Wifi while getting coffee in the morning. I grab the morning email at the same time. I really don't feel the screen resolution is a huge limitation. I've become...
I for one would like to see the comeback of external power supplies for video cards, now that the current cards are drawing over 300+ watts of power. I sometimes wish that I could just have a power brick for my video card rather than taxing my 450 Watt supply even further or forcing me to...
To the OP:
When you write a muti-threaded application, it is irrelevent how many 'cores' you are programming for. Writing a program to take advantage of 2 processors is not easier than writing a program for 8 processors. In your post, you make it seem like Sony will fail because it is harder...
For those worrying about getting one with the digital A/V out (for component video) it's not a huge deal. Nintendo will swap your system out for one that has it if you call and ask. They pay the shipping both ways.
On an LCD "Brightness" is really adjusting backlight level, a control that is similar to contrast adjustment on a CRT. I am assuming that contrast is not adjustable on your 2405 because you have it hooked up via DVI. In this case all color and picture adjustments are to be done through software...
It might be as easy as changing the default sound card in the "Sound" preferences found in the system>preferences menu.
As the poster before said, it's also just as easy to disable it in bios.
Your math fails to take into account the actual cost of the card.
For arguements sake let's assume $400
(500-400)*100,000=10,000,000
(649-400)*75,000=18,675,000
With higher margins, the more expensive card makes almost twice the money. Although the revenue is lower the profits are higher.
This sounds like a really stupid question, but you've installed an mp3 codec, right? Ubuntu doesn't come with one out of the box due to copyright(or wrong) reasons
I wouldn't buy something I needed to stake my life on from Paintball Distributors Warehouse ;)
Get something from Point Blank or Second Chance.
OP: Have you considered a plate carrier on top of a vest? What level protection do you need? What kind of enviroment are you going to be...
