thanks for your input mate, but I took matters into my own hands and wrote out my own drivers, and they worked perfect. Im on my computer now, trying to get WoW up and running. only 10 more levels till 60!
Well, I have an Asus A8V Motherboard. It cant detect SATA HDDs without the drivers (You have to make floppy disks for them, which I have done, at least for the 378 Raid Drivers) and it still cant detect the SATA HDDs. I have a 36gig raptor which is going to be my boot/program sector, and a...
Ok, well, after a month of being out of order, I am finally going to fix my computer. BUT, I need to salvage a Floppy Drive from my dads comp. I open up the case, and to my surprise, these are like these white "trays" if you will, kind of like clips, holding in the floppy drive and I cant take...
Ok, so I run the disk for set up, it formats, I make a new partition, it checks the disks, etc. I restart my comp like it tells me too, and I have to keep re-formating, make the new partition, check the disk, etc. Its like a never ending circle or formation madness. What should I do?
I keep pressing enter to load and its a no go. It says I need to connect the HDDs. Are there specific drivers that I should load? Im not sure which ones to make a disk out of... god this is confusing.
hahahahahahaha. God this makes surfing the net on a 1.0ghz desktop well worth it; GO LOOK AT MY HDD THREAD IN THE HARD DISK STORAGE AND HELP FIX MY PROBLEM! Later.
Yeah, I put the floppy in and got to that screen. It took 12 minutes to make the floppy and it loaded the drivers and shit, But it loads really quick, and im not that sure if its loading or not....I think the floppy is broken because these disks may not be working >.> What should I do to check?
Does your brother use the metaphore "coming out of the closet"? Does he often say im coming out, or even by chance sing the song that goes "Im Coming Out!"? Well, theres good news and bad news. Bad news is, your brother was either extremely drunk or hes gay, but the good news is you deleted the...
Well I dont think my floppy works because when I try to make a driver disk with my dads desktop and I use it on the comp and press S to specify and load the disk it never loads the SATA drivers or maybe im just thick and am doing something wrong? Like I press the F6 then press S when it tells me...
I just got my 36 gig raptor (finally) and im ready to fix my computer. Well, I tried to install my OS and it says there are no HDDs attached (This is at the install windows screen by pressing enter, and I press enter and it says this.) I tried making a RAID disk, and im not sure if it is reading...
yeah too bad no one has any extra 74gigs or 36gigers to sell to me :( PST if you have one! My hdd failed and I cant use my main comp. Will pay 90ish shipped for raptor
Anyone know where I can purchase a refurbed one and how much they cost? My HDD just failed and dont have enough money for a new one. Looking to spend about 90ish dollars on one. Anybody? please help a man in need!!
If you have an extra 74gig raptor that you are not utilizing the storage of, I would like to trade to you a 73gig 10k rpm SCSI Seagate cheetah and like 30 dollars. This drive retailed at 350, but cant return it for that price because its about two years old. Dont be mistaken by its age, this...
Like 2x 36s or 1x 74 gig. Willing to trade an 73gig 10k RPM seagate cheetah SCSI and like 30-50 bucks for the 36s or the 74.
EDIT: Sorry for the grammatical error in the title..its been a long day...=\
thinking of doing custom mods for people? I could never do this because 1) I would go crazy from the amount of patience this must take and 2) my parents would kill me, literally (Mom is a court officer with a deagle X_X)
Ok, this may sound a little rough but when you here it start spinning, HIT IT with the palm of your hand all over the backside of it. The HDD may be off balance from shipping. This is what happened to me. Just try it, its what worked for me. If that doesnt work, open up the iPod and remount the...
yeah its old. Not that old though, maybe two years? its 1.6 inches instead of 1, but still performs as well. Anyone intrested in it? Or have a raptor I could trade for?
trade a 1.6 inch highish? profile Seagate Cheetah 10k RPM 73 gig SCSI drive and like 20 bucks for a 74gig raptor? This drive retailed for like 350ish back in the day...rippin my self off here..any suggestions?
-sigh- Everytime I find a good deal, it turns out to be horrible. LOL. I guess I will try and do my best with this drive that is coming. I just really wanted a raptor, maybe I can trade this and some money for a 74gig.
