I remember seeing a white motherboard from Sapphire. I'd like to build a computer around that board and am looking specifically for the ones below, but do let me know if you have a white motherboard not mentioned below.
WTTF/WTB: your stuff.
you guys sure are good at depressing me. now i'm thinking cooling with a phase/compressor system. i'm also on xtremesystems asking them, but there are far fewer willing to help. i think they love bashing on pelt cooling, and i can see why. thanks for all the info! steered me clear of a high...
yes it will consume a lot of space, but the main gripe with phase change wasn't the space. I think I'm just prejudiced towards it, mostly because last time I looked it'd be $800 for a single phase unit. I'll have to rig up 3 in order to cool the gpus and the cpu. either that or make a rig for...
full cover waterblocks for the gpu's. will those work?
Yes, all I want is overclocking power, and those numbers look like what I was expecting to have to buy.
This number really hasn't hit me yet; how much power it's actually going to take to do this. I'm just staring at that number, once it...
So I've done a little research on the peltier stuff, still am researching it, and would like to get a little insight. I'm building a small SLI system specs:
sx58h7 mobo
i7 920 c0
6gb ddr3
2x 480gtx
3x ocz vertex or 1x 160gb intel x25m
I want to use peltiers for the GPU's and the CPU. ~320w for...
that looks like it takes up 3 expansion slots. can you please take pics with the back panel for a size reference. I want to run one of these cards with a single slot solution, and was wondering if the trad2 would be the way to go.
oh cool beans! i win! woohoo!
why didn't you have that open chassis case before? i would have probably splurged a little on it. ah well, 2 builds in progress with 1 likely to follow is plenty already. so i must resist looking at any more of your awesome sales. good luck!
anyone seen any performance updates based on the newer 1.5 drivers? almost all reviews are with the 1.4 beta drivers. i'd hop on this deal if the technology actually worked a little bit better. i have a 285 and 5870 laying around... if only it'd support physx + eyefinity in a package. bwahaha!
So, I've been looking for reviews trying to compare the 5830 in Crossfire vs the 5770 in Crossfire. Most reviews show the 5830 and 5770 performing on an almost similar level (with the 5830 edging it each time), and showing that the 5770/5830 in CF matches or beats the 5870. I'm wondering if...
waiting for the driver teams to duke it out a little more, crossing fingers that the RMA'd 5870 I had will have no grey screen issues, and hoping that there is a price drop within 2 months on Fermi. If anything I'll have one Fermi system and one Crossfire 5850 or single 5870/5970 system. so i'll...
you all think thermal pads on the bottom of the board would suffice for cooling? of course the pads would be contacting the mobo tray or some sort of cooler. what have people been using for mosfet cooling, especially the bottom?
lol. people always bring this up.
basically for improved load times and snappy response on most used programs. storing big games on bigger hard drives would be fine as in game performance isn't affected much if at all by an ssd. at the moment the only games that matter to me are counterstrike...
