Every card has some kind of inconsistency, for example, the gtx 580 varies from losing to 6970 to 20% faster, that is just some stupid excuse made up by some dumb fan boy.

580 is more like a 485, 15% is not enough for those who bought the 480 to "upgrade", those who did not buy 480 would probably have no interest in 580, all those give you the impression "tons in stock" becausee it does not sell well.

The majority of the gpu bloatsx games are console ports. When nvidia put its "dev effort"(the gpu bloatsx) in games, the performance hit is almost as big as your mom's ass, so most people just disable that rubbish to get the game running properly, that is where bloatsx fails.

Do know that both 5850 and 5850 SLI are both faster 460 and 460 SLI, the difference is about $30 for a single card and $60 for SLI. The 460 is poised in between 5830 and 5850, nothing more.

Good post. The "min fps" never make any sense. The frame variation is a much better method to gauge the problem. I am surprised most, if not all the review sites are too stupid to notice that.

Better "SLI" is just a hype up by nvidia chills, it is not a fact. there are some games 460 sli perform as good as 5850 CF, but there are also games where 5870 CF do as good as 480 sli. Dont make yourself like a tard by saying xxx is better base on one game.

All hardware vendors impose the settings that they think good on users. That is called default settings. You can alwasy check that. ATI listed that change so that you know it is the driver changing instead your mom checking your computer, stop crying and move on.

I want to see how the older nvidia cards hold up, nvidia is well known for releasing cheat drivers that make the newer cards look good at the cost of older cards.
