I tried the chkdsk and it just flashed a black window really quick and ended. Why would my drive be showing up as RAW if I've been using it as NTFS for almost a year?

When i'm listening to music on musicmatch and I open up Firefox, the music skips. It only skips while the webpages are loading but it is very annoying. Firefox also runs very slow. Any solutions to this would be appreciated
