PikachuMan is right, high 3000's is all you can expect with that system. I don't think a plain 6800NU w/o unlocked pipes could ever reach that high on any processor. Still, it's a great card, I've had mine for 2 years.

Assuming they both have the same amount of memory then the 9200 would be better, as it is DX9 capable and slightly faster. I had a MX440, that card couldn't do much, unless it everything was set to low and DX7.

Just upgrade my A64 3000+ to a X2 4200+ System: GA-K8NS Ultra 939 6800 NU 1GB DDR I took the oppurtunity to switch out my 4 80mm case fans for 2 92mm fans attached Ghetto style with zip ties and some stick tac for dampening. Also switched out the 120mm on my XP120 for better cooling.

You need to get modified drivers for go chips, the regular ones you downloaded are causing the problems I believe. Listen to pxc.

Try changing the vid settings before you load a level. Also insure that your bios/drivers are updated to their newest versions. check the support under steampowered.com for more info. Does it do it any ttime else other than when you change the settings?

There's a heavy shotgun at the end of the crash site that has the power cell, near some grenades. The heavy shotgun doesn't work on the yellow armored bugs but the black ones will eat it. Use the rifles to take out all of the yellow ones then get the power cell to activate the spawn. Keep moving...

I voted 6800, but if source is your game then the X800 PRO is probably better. I have the 6800 and can run Source at MAX Settings at 12x10 at good FPS. BF2 I can run at 10x7 or 12x10 at medium settings well. Is 17 bucks worth a faster stock card with more memory? Probably. Remember 6800...
