Did you update the TV firmware for HDMI 2.0 or you are still using the 1.4 ?

Ordered the Zotac (basic model) because A) it was available and B) It was the only available other than the 70$ more, longer 3 fans Gigabyte model. All the other models were back order... The Gigabyte had 3 DP 1 HDMI and 1 Dual-Link DVI thats the only reason it could have been interesting but...

Most of the heat come from the GPU anyway, I did the same with my 295GTX (cleaned the goo and applied Arctic Silver Ceramique and cleaned the solid carpet of dust between the fan and the fins of the heatsink) and the pads on the memory look the same and the temperature droped from 105c to 70-73...

That sucks. I have no problems with my TX950 so I can't experience that awesome support!

Enabled V-Sync in Portal and control lag like mad. FPS are good but half a second pass before the character run forward when I press the key. (yes tried with and without triple buffering)

On the fly load of texture in levels can slow down the computer and can cause FPS drops is probably what hes thinking of.

Install steam on SSD. Use SteamMover http://www.traynier.com/software/steammover to move games you use less often to your other drives. Problem solved.

Onboard audio is enabled in the BIOS right? Also maybe the HDMI audio interface on the video card might disable the onboard audio maybe? You have a video card with no HDMI to try?

Yeah while you do that make sure you clean up and replace the thermal paste. And don't lose the screws! Theres a gazzilion of them remove the fan (and they are freaking small). Took me an hour and a half to open it up, clean everything and put it back together but temperatures dropped 25+...

One of my 295 GTX was doing that, 5 minute in intensive games was all that was needed to crash. I could play less intensive games no problems but the temperature was quite high. Disassembled the card and cleaned the heatsink. Put it back together and temperature went back to normal. (45 Celcius...

I run mine disabled. No problem.

The intel speed advantage seem big in bench but in real life usage you wont notice the difference. One thing you do notice is on copy of large files the OCZ are faster and that is apparent in real life usage when you do copy large files and not only in bench. That is why I chose a OCZ Agility...

Wrong. Any writes on a SSD cost write cycles. That the way the NAND chips work.

More RAM won't make things go faster. It stop the computer from becoming slow. If the speed increase it means you were running out of RAM.
