I have a question for you regarding your remote of choice.
What is the difference between the remote you chose
MS part no. A9O-00007 $38.99 at Newegg

And what appears to be the exact same remote at Tigerdirect...
I would like to build a rig that will divide my desktop between 3 22" monitors using mid to high-end gfx cards. I just wanted to make sure I had everything right.
I'm assuming I can do this with a board that has multiple pci-e x 16 slots using 2 8800 gt 512s.
I don't want sli or xfire, I...
Just as the title suggests, the northbridge fan on my in-law's pc is going out. The board is a KN8 Ultra, and it looks like the fan is attached with some plastic pins, and a 3 pin fan header. Having zero experience with northbridge fans and heatsinks, I was wondering what I could replace it...
The only thing that bugs me about the design, is it seems to be backwards. In my opinion, if the points were to the back, not the front it would look much better.
Yeah, in order to be considered a bedroom, it needs a window large enough to meet egress codes. You're right about the fully equipped fire fighter being able to get through, it's something like a 20sqft opening, with minimum dimensions on height and width. You can get away with not adding a...
if it's close to the price of the V2 I might pick one up IF they come up with a delrin model. I don't want anything in my loop to be clear, and from what I have seen, the V2 is more than capable of handling what I want to throw at it.
I'm looking at these cases

For compatibility, it lists 3 Via mini-itx boards. Does anyone know of any reason why this jetway board wouldn't fit?

Ah ok no wonder I could find anything hehe. I don't really care about OBV because I'm upgrading an old system. She already has a 19" lcd and HDD, so those aren't the issue. I'm not trying to go cheap, I'm trying to keep the price down...
Does that make sense? I hope so, it does in my...
I'm upgrading my wife's pc, and I need some input on motherboards. I'm a tech for one of the local IT companies, and I build probably 30-40 PCs a year. I order all the parts, and assemble the machines, and 99% of the time go with Intel boards. That's pretty much the only brand I'm very...
Right now I'm hosting them on youtube, and have them opening up in popups when you click on an icon on the site. but I don't like that they have that slideshow deal at the end of the video that shows other videos.
Does anyone know of a free video hosting site? That would be awesome. If...
bump. I remember reading something about the 2600xt and the 8600gts being able to render video better or some such thing. Could I get a link to something that would explain to me why, or what's in them that makes them render video better or whatever.
So ATI esentially took a fgx card and slapped a tv tuner card onto it?
What would be the best combination of cards? I heard the HD2600xt and 8600 do well, any reason why I should pick one over the other?
Trying to locate an x1900 for sale isn't boding well. If I get a regular gfx card, and then a tv tuner card will that esentially get me the same hardware? I have a customer that wants the all in wonder, but it doesn't appear ATI makes them any more, so just trying to find a solution.
I'm looking at a case that has esata, and just wanted to verify what type of connection the motherboard needed to have. Does it just use an open sata port? or does the motherboard need a special esata connector.
Thanks
I honestly don't know. The lady the computer belongs to is divorced, and her husband built the pc.
But thanks for pointing out the oem possibility too.
It's just frustrating having the key, but not being able to do anything about it.
well, I've made a slipstream disc before of pro, but not exactly sure how that would help.
I guess one of my main questions is, will pretty much an xp home key work on just a few different cds?
I guess my main question is, will any xp home key work for 1 of 3 different products?
xp home...
I'm trying to reinstall xp home for someone. I was able to use belarc advisor to get the key it was installed with, but they don't have the discs. What options do I have? It's a home built pc, so I don't have the ability to call up a vendor and get the discs.
I tried using an xp home...
Ok, sorry for my noobness here. I tried the css, and the doctype and neither did the trick, not sure why, probably just me.
BUT that's not really the issue anymore anyway. What I would really like to do is just use a site map. here's a pic of the images (with the spaces) when I changed...
I'm using Visual Web Developer to make a website for one of our clients. I'm fairly comfortable with the basics, and this is probably something extremely stupid, but I'm having issues with a panel.
I added a panel to my master page that I want to use for navigation. I want to fill this...
arrrgh... There was a worklog on bit-tech.net of a guy who made his own projector. But I can't seem to find it. He used sand paper to give his case a brushed aluminum look. Basically what he did was clamp a block to the end of the sheet of sandpaper. the block would act as a straight edge...
absolutely gorgeous!
I've been bummed that I haven't been able to find any more projects from you. It looks like your modding ended with Doom3. Am I missing a project log somewhere? I'd really like to see more of your work!
If I remember correctly when I was installing my 9700 on my c2d, the am2 didn't require motherboard removal....
course the more I think of it, I could be thinking of the xp120 I put on my wife's machine
