Fully agree with above poster. TW2 has some of the best enviroments I have seen in an rpg since gothic 3 and morrowind. Only slightly dissapointed how most caves in this game were linked to quest with no real sense of exploration being rewarded.
To the poster above defending second chance here is my take. I do agree the game takes skill like any game, but i also think second chance is a game breaker. You are correct in saying not everyone in real life scenarios dies in one hit. However. I am willing to bet if I pump rounds into a guy...
I guess i missed it then. He is already out of jail and i checked the caves again and still nothing. No one in the town has anything else to say to me.
My vote goes to the quick knife. Can't stand how recent games make melee more dominant than firearms just to give kids a sense of being an ultimate bad ass.
Every game is a 40mm/Gustav spam fest. I love how virtually nobody played engineer when the game first came out because their primary weapon was outmatched against other infantry. Now engineer is the most played class on every map. Was pretty surprised on Laguna Prasa to be hit by about 12...
Its a shame that things must be made ineffective, but i prefer it over how it use to be. It may not be integral to your load out but I would say around 85% of people would disagree. Nothing i cant stand more from BF2, COD, and now Bad Company is how 40mm and rockets are being used as if they...
^^^^My thoughts exactly. So many times I would see two ways to go and hesitate and later be angry that I didn't fully explore the other area before being forced into a loading scene.
I played on the hardest difficulty and there were only a few mutants towards the end that took more than a few headshots. I ended the game with like 300 military rounds. Using the Vss and silenced revolver everything went down quick. And even on that difficulty health packs and damage you took...
I'm glad so many people are enjoying this game as I have. Can't really understand all the reviews about gun play being bad. It wasn't as smooth as mw2 or bad company 2 but those games are not realistic at all. Hopefully 4A games continues in this manner. I really hope for more of the same from...
Just beat through the game today on the hardest setting and really enjoyed it. Some spots were tough but nothing a good plan couldn't deal with. I would reload checkpoints just to save ammo and try things out. Grenades are pretty common to find on just about everybody you kill so i used them...
My cousin has a core 2 duo at 3.4, 4gigs ram, and sli 8800gt's. I would think this should be able to play the game decently, yet with everything in game on low plus setting it to dx9 and turning all nvidia options to performance at 1024x768 its still runs under 25fps and worse in firefights. He...
Not sure why people post sniping videos of them on hardcore. Its like watching MW2 where you can shoot guys in the legs and get one shot kills. Actually showing a video of normal mode with long range head shots on the move would be impressive.
Yeah I thought the same thing after I upgraded to an ati. I believe he can disable it in the control panel which would give you a better look at how much closer the two systems are. Not positive though as I haven't had my nvidia in for a while.
The answer to this is very simple he has a nvidia card. On the vantage cpu physics test in nvidia cards assist the cpu with the test itself your ati cards do not. I ran into the same issue when i had a 3.2 quad core and 8800gtx. My cpu scored around 31000. Now when i upgraded to a 5870 I score...
Just forced mine to dx9 and tried everything low again. Still loads slower than with the 8800gtx but screw it I guess, the game play is much smoother. Thanks for all the help fellas.
Already tried the same settings as the 8800gtx on Bad Company 2. As for Bioshock 2 the game already ran decent maxed out. It runs even better on the 5870 so again I was suprised by the longer load times.
System
Q9300 at 3.1ghz
Asus 5870
Kingston ram 4gigs
700 watt OCZ psu

Even though I love sarcasm I don't think it has anything to do with going from low - high. When the round ends and you get that little twitter bs than your stats for the round. That whole scene just lags where as before it was smooth clicking on anyone of the medals takes about 5 seconds to do...
Just as the title says, I recently upgraded from an 8800gtx to an Asus 5870. The performance is amazing in every game however Ive noticed a much longer load time in all of my games. The biggest being when the rounds are changing in Bad Company 2. The little spinning loading symbol just moves...
I'm really not sure why there is such a huge trend to give snipers one shot kills in modern games. Just encourages new players to use the recon class instead of learning to play. Not that I am the best sniper, I only use it when on defense and the attackers are full of snipers. And I say new...
Wow. Watched those vids of Sikkyu sniping. If hardcore mode keeps one shot sniper kills to anywhere on the body than i am not playing it. Really wanted to like hardcore but snipers will dominate.
The game was pretty cool, but I for one would have liked a darker more realistic zelda. Especially after Ocarina of time which cannot be topped. My opinions are the same as some others. Borderlands looks fun as an rpg, but I was definately more excited the first time I saw this game in the old...
