Ha probably not. I found that Bartons were faster than the early northwood P4's and then the S754 and S939 were faster still. The only problem with the bartons was keeping them cool, they were little fireballs.
It really shouldn't be any worse than running it right-side-up, since the video cards are plugged in perpendicular to the mobo (i.e. there will be the same amount of tension on the slot whether the case is upside down or not).
The minimum recommended spec is a 512MB DX9.0c card, so theoretically it will "run". However, the 8600GT is a very weak card for gaming. Considering it struggles to run games well from 4-5 years ago, it is very unlikely it will run the game with any level of image quality, resolution or decent...

I would think either your board doesn't work probably with SLI anymore due to chipset problems or possibly that little connector you use to connect the two cards together isn't working properly.
Make sure your drivers are working in SLI too, I remember when I was using SLI last summer...
-A8N SLI Deluxe in Box with all accessories $90 shipped.

Looking to sell my Built by ATI Radeon 9500 PRO. It's 128-bit 128MB AGP8X, 8 pipes. No this one doesn't unlock (it's already full 8 pipes), but it's basically identical to a 9700PRO except with lower clocks.
It comes with an 80mm aftermarket fan with a big heatsink and small heatsinks on the...
I would say that even though it was uninsured, you still owe the buyer anti-DOA for an item of this nature. If it arrived damaged the packing wasn't good enough (unless it was obvious that the box was crushed by USPS or something like that). It must be packed to survive any amount of shaking or...
You can up the bit rate but it won't do anything for sound quality. The quality is only as good as it was originally recorded at and you go down from there; ie. you can't record at say 128kb/s and up it to 320kb/s for better quality. The file will still be at 320kb/s, but the quality will be...
If you OC the 6800GT to Ultra speeds, then it's faster than the X800XL in every area so it's a no brainer. Not to mention that like 95% of the GT's will overclock to Ultra speeds easily. Plus if you get a BFG 6800GT card you get a lifetime warranty and none of ATI card makers offer that.
I just took the test earlier this summer. It's about 60-75 questions I think. You need to know most of the hardware stuff they tell you even though some of it hasn't existed since pre 1995, but it's still on the test. The toughest thing is remembering the memory addresses for all the devices and...
Just received it from RMA. It's also a brand new one as they told me in the email it came straight from their production factory. I have no box or accessories other than the DVI/VGA adaptor. I have only tested the card for 10 minutes to verify that it works. Selling it to allocate funds for...
He said he needs AGP and that DFI board is S939.
Go for the Asus A8V Deluxe or the Abit AV8 or anything else that's VIA K8T800 PRO based. This gives you AGP8X and most of the features of the newer NF4 Ultra boards. I don't see why you would go NF3 when the VIA boards are rock solid and have...
Another option is the Asus A8V Deluxe, as Via's K8T800 PRO chipset is rock solid and overclocks decently as well. The Nforce and Via chipsets have all the same features too, so either board is a good buy.
-256 MB Built by ATI Radeon X700PRO PCI-E Video Card. New in box and comes with original purchase receipt.
Looking for $135 US shipped. Traders are welcome to make offers. I take paypal or EMT(Canadian). Heat and ebay are in sig.
I was under the impression that Pentium M was built from the ground up on new architechture. Is it based on Netburst architecture?
And to make it plausible now, all intel has to do is release a desktop chipset for it that has Dual Channel Memory and all of the features of their desktop P4...
Yeah the whole not using the pentium M for desktops is ridiculous. Only a few companies are making mobos and slot converters to utilize it. If intel officially supported it, they would have the upper hand on AMD by far. I have seen benchmarks of a Pentium M 1.8 GHz Dothan, that they put in one...
I think the load temp will be a bit lower with a higher multiplier/lower fsb as opposed to a lower multiplier/higher fsb. This is just based on my old 2500+ unlocked barton; with it set at 166 fsb and 13 multi it was 42C Load, but with it set at 185 fsb and 11 multi the load temp was 52C...
The difference is pretty big. The memory bandwidth is halved so even if the 64 bit memory is running double the speed of the 128 bit memory, their bandwidth is still the same. I would always take the highest bandwidth available for any card. The 9550 is already crippled as it is with just 4...
If AGP is dead, then why are they just starting to make boards that have the PCI-E on the northbridge and then an AGP 8X slot that is controlled by the south bridge? There is still higher demand for AGP cards than there is for PCI-E cards. I think the situation is similar to RDRAM when it...
I just bought Alaska shipped via USPS ground, but I had them mark the value as $40 to avoid customs and duties and forgot to get insurance. Of course, it arrived damaged and I was out $5 trillion dollars. And then I RMAed it and the American government sent me back New Jersey. Needless to say...
I have a virtual boy and Mario Tennis and Red Alert for it. The stand is broken, but the unit itself is in great condition. If I can find it, it's all yours.
I am looking to spend $300-350 Canadian Shipped. I would like it to be BFG, but that's not imperative. Ideally, it should overclock to 400/1100 as well. I can pay by paypal. I will not pay first unless you have at least 7 heat or 50 plus ebay rating.
Thanks, Ryan.
