Hi,
Well if there is some people out there thinking GTS or GTX this info might be usefull.
I went from GTS to GTX and got no tangible diference. Just few hundred points in 3Dmark to extend E-pennis. Plus bit more noise in 2D and slower switching between resolutions.
Funny thing that I've...
Hi all.
Well after weeks of playing with 8800GTS and changing few cases and fan configurations I came to best solution of cooling a 8800 series grafic card without changing a stock cooler and voiding a warranty.
My goal was cool grafic card (and a rest of a system) and low noise levels...
Well on anandtech they have CES2006 report and there a pic of GTX in P2 with new PSU.
GTX goes whole legnht over a mobo and closes of intake !!???
They say they have new PSU that can handle GTX. Hence 400 watt of P2 is not enough for GTX...
Hi, people
I'm disapointed with all this issues I see in last few weeks.
First 8800 series comes out with great new technology.
Then it apears in local shops. WOOOW.So I get 8800GTS. After like 5 hours of using it I end up with no preformance and failures. Testing it in friends PC shows...
Hi, people
Two days ago I went for a ASUS 8800GTS. Got one and installed it in my Shuttle SN25P. I've tryed it first in shop (have friends there) to reasure that PSU will be able to power everything. It was just fine.
At my home later that night I have't had enough time so I've just did...
Well if anyone want's to know does it fit it does.
Just got ASUS 8800GTS and now it's in SN25P.
Duct must go away and it's a tight squize but it fits without any cuting/moding.
PSU seams to be able to feed 4200+ X2 , 2 GB RAM , 3 SATA II HDD's DVD RW and 8800GTS.
BTW card rocks...
Hi,
Well I've build manny Shuttles and I love them.
I've builded many P series in past 18 months.
They have all have had same features. Like same ICE same fans same PSU etc.
/moaning
I have had a SN95G5 and have had ton's of fan with it but I've chaged now and got my self a SN25P...
Well I wonder did anyone have had them both with same hardware and how much difference there was.
Something like SN25P vs. SN21G5. Or some other mobo change in Q-pack with those chipsets.
I love G5 in black, I just wonder is a nForce 410 MCP based mobo much slower then nForce 4 mobo. Also...
Deja Vu anyone? Comman VooDoo I? Whole 3D thing?
First it was like VooDoo I PCI and there was not so much things You can run with it (few demos etc.)
Then came games but You have allready needed VooDoo II and preferably SLi 12 MB models with good 2D card and then came TNT with 32 MB that...
Well they cost same here in The Netherland so wich one is Your favorite and why?
Well it would be better to wait for DX10 cards or 7900GTX or gett X1900XTX ot 7800GTX 512 MB but it doesn't realy mether. Question is 7800GTX 256 MB or X1800XT 512MB?

Well I've made bit longer post on AMD CPU part of a Forum ( http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=955266 ) so I'll be shorther here :P
For SN95G5 owners thinking of a X2 CPU I have first hand info. SN95G5 owners of Rev 1,0 be shure You gett 1,8 BIOS and E6 stepping CPU E4 will not work...
First off It's great CPU. I realy doo not know why but affter gaming it's actualy cooler then a 3000+ Winie!!???? Stock speed affter 6 hours of playing and then checked CPU temp and it is 43 deg. C??? Also core voltage should be 1,35V to 1,4 V and it's like 1,25 V!!?? It's super stable though...
Well I think they have done it. With 7800GTX beeing PCI-e only (atleast at thismoment) I think they wanted to push further their SLi and nForce 4 chipset.
I gues Crossfire Ati solution was small suprise for them but who cares PCI-e lives with it's two slots.
I find it pretty biatchy that...
Well if You where allways thinking like My G chassis Shuttle XPC has only 200/220/240/250 watt then this might be somethign for You:

What is a best single slot 6800 series cooler? Temps and noise should be lower then stock cooler.
Wich 6800GT card has best cooler?
Silencer, Zalman 700cu and other good two slot coolers cant be used in SFF so I was searching but couldn't find anything good enough :(

Well I wanna know what are best memory modules in 512 MB size for a nForce3 250 Ultra chipset mobos (it's for a Shuttle SN98G5) with Winchester CPU.
I'm interested in Brands and types of actual modules but info like wich chips they use is also appriciated. Also where to get them is great...
All Shuttle users noticed high temps in Shuttle. Many times many posts here cleared out some aspects of improving cooling in G chassis XPCs.
G chasis comes with two sizes of ICE and 4 types of Fans (atleast I've seen 4 different types) Most of following modes are good for 80 and 92 mili size...
Well I have this setup allready for something like two weeks. I runs pretty good. I've got 6800GT for it and gaming is pretty good.
Though one thing is realy bothering Me.
Though I wouldn't be Me if I wouldn't try to OC. Specialy it seams Winchester are good OC-ing CPUs. I've heard first...
I've just got one few day ago. It seams nice Nvidia reference design board with standard single slot cooling. Haven't had enough time to OC and check everything but last night I was gaming few hours and it rocks.

Now I have SN95G5 and that's nForce 3 250 Ultra chipset s939 barebone.
Next to it I've got for now 3000+ s939 CPU. My idea was to have working system and later when big boys on s939 get cheeper to jump on a wagon.
It looks nice and it's stable. Though...

I've thought I should share my impresion of new P series. I've build SB81P for friend of mine.
Quality very good as We are used to from Shuttle SFFs.
Well P series can handle up to 3 HDD's or two HDD's and FDD.
It can handle just one Optical drive (Iwas thinking cause it's higher it can...
