haha i have a friend who is pretty much into turbocharging cars and he came over and saw my phasechange setup and was like, "IS THAT A PRESSURE PIPE!!?"
i run my 24/7 setup at 1.39V for 4Ghz, but then i have phasechange cooling also.
used to run it at 4.4Ghz but i've taken it down a bit since i don't really need that amount of power :)
how about phasechange results?
i know we are not many but i would love to se how it performs while being under a capable phasechange system. Like a modded vapochill Ls or Mach 2.
but then i use phasechange cooling to, and that has alot to do with my OC sucess.
i personally think that if you're not running phase or water the Qx is a waste of money.
(now im gonna go try out how well my new qx9650 OC's) :D oh and i won my second one,
im not made out of money :p
im running my phasechange system on a DFI X38 T2R, with a qx9650 to. and the best thing about this mb is the plenty of space around the cpu, so isolation is a cakewalk.
The nb heatsink is a very tight fit (going against what i just said). but if you' r using the stock LS the mounting kit is...
not trying to be a forum police here but this is really the wrong section.
This is for the Extreme cooling solutions such as subzero Phasechange and Liquid Nitrogen cooling.
well i bought mine from a well known chinese overclocker called Wictor Wang, and he went through a number of qx9650. so the one i have is handpicked.
More than that it works just like normall, increase fsb and/or multi. increase Vcore, then offcourse you can play around with VTT and PLL...
not having any problem at all with my cores readin differently, but on the other hand they read it totally wrong since im using phasechange. the temps are the same always no matter load/idle. i go by the evap temp instead.
ok what do you guys think? i've got a 2stage cascade coming in in about a month, will it even be possible to cool a similar router? probably not due to cold bug. but it would be nice to try :D
well it seems the performance just isn't there.
AC Input: 110V
Compressor: ZEL GQY70AD
Refrigerant: R507
Max Stable Load: 120W
Idle, 0W: -45 to -55 C
Dimensions (DxWxH): 18.0in x 8.2in x 10.1 in
Weight: 26 kg/ 50.6 lbs
max stable load 120w? doesn´t look to good.
could anyone that runs a pretty heavely overclocked system tell me how high your pwm temp is ? mine is through the roof ~ 73* without fan blowing at it at full load, 1.552V vcore, 1.250vtt 1.51vpll 1.40vNB. im starting to think that this is my instability problem
throwing up some pics for ya!

overview of the system.
a little closer.
the very tight fit between gfx and the ram banks.
the insane amount of space below gfx
i've just ordered one to, and by the looks of it it's gonna be a cakewalk to isolate :D (due to phasechange cooling). it's so clean around cpu socket :)
nah i've been pretty occupied with other stuff, and i got the compressors for like one week ago so they havn't been sitting around that long :) i acually got 3 of em but there was a huge difference in price in building a 3 stage VS 2 stage so il start with that.
But i guess it wont take long...
