You people are too impressed with yourselves. This is an online message forum, not the U.N. General Assembly. One day, you may grow up and realize this. There are dozens of posts on this forum that are filled with F-Bombs and other profanities. Of the over 500 messages I've posted, my single...
Ooohhh, I sure don't wanna get TSS mad at me. He might have his mommy call my mommy and then I'd be grounded and couldn't play D&D all weekend.
You're an idiot, TSS.
Damn, I'm SOOOO tempted to get one of those XPS2 beauties. I'd do it tonight if I could sell my Hornet Pro. There doesn't seem to be much demand for used SFF computers.
Great review! Those pics make me wanna pull the trigger on one of those beasts, too. The 9300 has gotta be the absolute best bang-for-the-buck notebook deal ever. I've been looking at the Acer Travelmate 8104 and Asus V6V, both of which cost $2199. That's several hundred $$ more than a...
Interesting info on the BIOS.
I agree that 4800+ 3DMark05 scores are pretty damn impressive for a laptop. Hell, the system in my sig topped out at 5028. I hope I get better performance out of the ATI X800 XT PE that I just ordered from NewEgg.
Anyone wanna buy a used BFG 6800GT OC??? :D
I spend too much time viewing my 2405's huge, gorgeous, dead/stuck pixel free screen to complain that the stand or bezel might be asthetically displeasing. :D
In the "Sager vs. Dell" thread I posted that I saw a friend's new Sager 7620 and thought it was a helluva great laptop. I still do, but I also just had some first-hand experience with a co-worker's new XPS2. It is a fantastic machine!! I love everything about it except the screen. His has the...
I've got the Victorinox WebSeries 2.0 WebManager and it's the best briefcase I've ever used. I love ballistic nylon!!
Check out this cool 17" bag from Booq:

I'm getting too much enjoyment from actually using my new 2405 for work and games rather than wasting time rapidly dragging little windows across the screen with the intent of saying "AHA!!! There really IS ghosting on the 2405!!!!!"
My BFG 6800GT OC is the 2-fan version. I don't overclock much but when I have I used the "detect optimal frequency" function. It typically sets my card at 420/1.10, but I've never tried going any higher.
EDIT: I should point out that I'm going to switch to an ATI X800 XT PE as soon as...
As I wrote, I don't need Linux, and no I don't code at all.
I'm a writer, so XP Pro works just fine for me. And, HT can be invaluable when running FrameMaker, RoboHelp, Captivate along with several other multimedia programs at once.
All of the Dell 17" True-Life screens are hi-gloss/hi-glare LCDs. Some people love them; others hate them. I've read that Dell will swap the LG for the Samsung, which may solve the sparkle problem, but the gloss/glare remains.
Well, I don't care about Linux. Nothing I do with computers, professionally or recreationally, requires me to use Linux in any way. Any of the DTR notebooks I've owned were basically portable desktops that spent the vast majority of time plugged into outlets, not running on batteries. Given...
I thought the Dell XPS2 was THE powerhouse laptop to buy...until I saw a friend's new Sager 7620, over the weekend. That 7620 is un-effing-believable!! It's rock-solid, with a lightning-fast P4 3.4 GHz 560, has an awesome ATI X800 mobile graphics card, and a flawless 15.4" WUXGA screen (with no...
I've got a 6800GT and am going to replace it with an X800 XT PE as soon as I can. I have an SFF and have had a lot of heat-related crashes in hi-end games due to my 6800. It's a good card, but I think the 800 will prove far superior.
That V6V is so cool that I just cancelled my XPS2 order. I'm gonna buy a V6V and then just max out the video card (upgrade to ATI X800 XT PE) and RAM (2 GB) on my Hornet Pro instead of selling it. :D
I've read, elsewhere, that 1080p won't even be widely available for another 3-4 years. Don't know if that's true. Regardless, that BenQ is mighty nice looking.
