What vidoecard do you have? I have a feeling it's not the HD it's the videocard. Most if not all newer cards Nvidia FX series and up and at least the new ATI's turn the fan up when in a 3d app which makes a buzzing sound. I know my FX5900U and my new 800XL go "buzzy" when I start a 3d app.

The 800XL does not require an external power source, it is fully powered by the PCIE slot so it won't strain the power anyways. Plus, I just don't understand the logic of paying the same price for something you know is better. . . . call me crazy

"kicks ass" . . . . beats . . . . what ever you call it a win is a win. Also, the 6800 GT is faster than the 800XL which is faster than the 800Pro so I feel the 6800GT kicks the ass of the 800Pro. I guess Kicks Ass is a personal judgment not something that can be quantified.

Yup, it doesn't matter if more 16 isn't always better than 12 but this time it is so unless you want to pay the same price for somethign that is not as good I would go with the XL. AKAIK the 6800GT is still $50+ more than the XL in PCI-E.

Where in the control center are you able to OC and view the temperature of your card? I know with the ATITool I can view my temp and OC and i've seen pictures of it being done in the Control Center as well. Help?
