Look at FLECOM's production http://www.hardfolding.com/index.php?go=38&tnum=33&id=6
It looks like FLECOM has left the building...... If this is only a hiccup in folding.com, I'll eat my shorts.....
I don't know yet how well this WU runs on other cpus, but my C2D sure likes it :p The WU runs on a newer core , FahCore_80, and gives 556 points. I'm getting 14:25 minute frames on my E6400 oc'd to 3.2GHZ for 554ppd according to EMIII.
So I will shortly have the parts to put an X1950XT in an older AMD 3400+ single core box.
1. From what I read, I should fold only on the GPU and not on both GPU & CPU..is that a correct assumption ?
2. Yeah, I know it would work better in a dual core box, but it boils down to what...
So HF.com is showing me that on one particular update I got 49 points for 3 WU.... Yesterday I got 60 points on 1 unit on an update. Naturally I figure I've got a rogue Boxen that is overheating or something and throwing EUE's. I read the logs for all local boxen and they all look good...
We get some great threads here on the [H], but there are also some useful threads on our fellow folders' site at OCAU.... but, holy moose, their mods are tough! I was just reading this thread over at
http://forums.overclockers.com.au/showthread.php?t=500726
but it got locked due to poor...
So 90% of my points are produced in-house... and with 103 degree days I''ve been forced to shut off 95% of my in house machines... This sucks !
Wife wants to know why I have continued buying new parts ! I'm still trying to tell her that I need to replace those watt-sucking P4's...
I recently got a WU #1486 that is described on the project page as a gromacs33 using FahCore_a0.exe. It is giving EMIII a bad time, all I know is that is worth 300 pts.
Anybody have any other insight ?

Look at [H]orde FAH positions 144-147 .... http://www.hardfolding.com/index.php?go=1000&tm=33
Four folders with essentially the same production, within a very small range, moving up the ladder together....locked apparently...
So is this a fortuitous "Flock of Folders", a "Simplex...
If the supposition in the title is correct, then I can just use the crossover cable to uplink a switch that has no "uplink port", is that right ?

Question for you big borgers/farmers out there -- What OS platform gives you the least amount of problems in keeping a fold on when you only have limited access to the boxen?
I really like Kubuntu for boxes that I can get to with a KVM switch because I can set up wine & run the better...
Look out DR_K13 , we got us a convoy comin' thru ! With gwai_lo breakin' wind , and me at his back door, we are headed for the top [H]undred !! It's smelly back here, but we are bringin' the goods ! :D
I've decided that it is relatively expensive to heat your house with P4's ! I get billed every 2 months... Obviously the meter reader didn't believe the November reading , as my bill was $75 low (considering average) ... but they caught up this month with a $288 bill !! This caused a short...
The race may have been in my mind only, but gwai_lo, LeadGeek, and I have been moving up the [H]orde roster in lockstep, but about 10-20 places apart all the way. Congratulations to gwai lo for breaking into the top 200 [H]orde first ! I'm sure LeadGeek and I will be there soon also :p ... Look...
Congratulations are in order ! :) Marty topped 2 million points today --- Huzzah, Huzzah !!! I'm hoping a grump like me can survive this forum as long as an outspoken outlaw like he has ! Great job Marty
So this is a fairly new, high point (589 !) , doubleGromacs work unit. I'm running it on a non-hyperthreaded (i.e. single threaded) P4 640 at stock speed (so 3.2GHZ & 2MB cache) and while it is still in process, my frame times are right at 23min56sec . This is on a FAH dedicated box running...
With fully capable boxen running various forms of linux, I never was able to get QMD's .. until NOW ! With a P4 3.0 box running Fedora Core 3 with a GB of ram, I finally installed wine, downloaded the Windows 5.04 client, and bingo --- started pulling QMD's immediately. So if you have adequate...
When looking at the queue.dat file info function in EMIII I just noticed that my two WinXP boxes (one AMD XP and one P4) show benchmark numbers in the 5000 range, but my linux boxes (1 Fedora, 4 Foldix) all show benchmarks in the 500-600 range.
Is this meaningful ? (Using version 3.2.0...
I;ve been winding my way through the PS stickies, but while perusing power supply info have recently seen references to "works with Intel 915 and 925 chipsets !"
So since I have ordered a 915 chipset mobo, do I need to watch for additional requirements to be met by the ATX12 2.0x power...
The last 3 P4 hyperthreaded boxen that I started with FAH, I put 1 GB of RAM into (all linux)... just thinking that if I was running 2 FAH processes the RAM would get used. Now , looking at RAM usage, it's only 250MB tops on any of those boxes. It appears I am wasting my RAM ...
How much...
Need a little linux help here.... I'm folding fine on several linux (Fedora Core 3) boxen, but cannot seem to get samba set up correctly using gnome configuration tools (yes, I RTFM to death...) . I would really like to use EMIII to monitor my linux folding -- I have this feeling that I'm...
According to the "Real Age" thread I may be the oldest freakin' folder here ! But , you know, as a person gets older, they need a little help..... So would any of you young , able bodied folk be willing to borg one for me ??? Cmon, Mary ??, Tormond ??, you guys are charging hard... surely you...
*Moose and KodiakStar have been very vocal while trying to cover for Mary, but I think it's important for all you serious folders out there to realize what an outstanding job Mary has been doing !!!! Mary has an alias... Marty9876... and this lady/guy (who knows for sure ?) has been folding...
My P4's don't seem to like the Amber core WU's. (1801, 1804) Using .5-1 GB RAM , so that can't be issue. Just seem to run quite a bit slower (and for way less points  ) than a Gromacs WU. Can I -config anything to make it less likely to receive these ?
